Awhile back, I started my project to relocate the McIntosh subwoofer. I played around with several different locations, mounts, etc (ie http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12636).

One thing lead to another and before I knew it....

That looks great, excellent job! :cool

LOOKS VERY NICE!

tell us about the system, you are running three seperate amps?

Where's the Flux Capacitor !! :biggrin

Looks nice.
I had forgotten that I had a radio !!The sound of the Gt guys xpipe is so sweet ,I never turn the radio on !!

BAD ASS!

Do you have enough speakers to exploit those amps?

The final system ended up consisting of
- McIntosh MSS530 mids and tweets, replacing the factory McIntosh speakers. The factory speakers looks like a rebadge from some other brand.

- 3 X McIntosh MCC301M. These are 300W monoblocks. 1 powers the front left speakers, 1 powering the front rights, and 1 powers the subwoofer.

- 2 X JLAudio 6W3v3 subs, firing downwards into a fiberglass enclosure. Wish I could have used McIntosh subs but they don't make any subs. The enclosure was molded off an imprint of the back side of the seat to allow for maximum volume. When moved back, the seat slides "into" the sub.

- Audio Control EQX used to smoothen out the sound curve. The GT cabin produces a couple major spikes and a major lull which needed to be addressed.

- I kept the factory McIntosh deck since that is the only model McIntosh produces, but added a iPod connector into the AUX input.

All the wiring was done without cutting any of the existing factory wiring, matching the factory molexs whenever possible. The hardest part of the project was overcoming the "noise" generated by the engine/alternator and radiated into the cabin thru the center tunnel.

The only thing left to do is to anodize the side plates on the amps to be silver, instead of the off-gold color.

If anyone needs more info, feel free to PM me.

Man, you could do some light welding with the output of those things.
But really impressive work. Wow.

Your A/C must be on all of the time to keep the cabin cool with those amps. :thumbsup
