Which driving Loafers are you folks using when you are going out on the town. I was looking at Tods, but they are really up there in price.

Go with the Tods...I learned the hardway.

I bought crap ones from J. Crew, Faconable, Clarks @ $100/ea....they all fell apart, chafed, or looked like crap after use....all were returned as defective.

I read about Tods in Octane magazine; and basically they said its the Ferrari of driving mocs, same tannery quality as Ferrari interiors.

I bit the bullet and paid $375 for them 2 yrs ago and keep the bag in the GT for driving only. The "Gummi" heel nubs allow for perfect heel-toe and comfort with GT rubber matts. They are lined in Leather and quality is superb.


AND......I get compliments all day long when I get out of the car. I have had like 10 women compliment me...they notice them a mile away.



TIP: you have to buy them snug to toe, they are Nappa lether & will stretch....and the toe will drag and rip up the front making it gray/white.....

Great observation EP, I never thought of a driving loafer for driving and going out on the town. I guess this was an appropriate question from a guy with the handle "Happy Feet". I have Pilotis for the track and everyday shoes for the rest.
