This was taken around spring 2005 if I remember correctly. Allen Park, MI at a Roush facility. I'll see what else I can dig up and scan in today.

Who's Car

Who's car is that they are leaning on, that would be neat to know? Jay Leno's maybe?

Serial # is on windshield centre top on the build sticker. If somone can extract the number from the picture you will find out

Is that Denis I see in the left b/g?

Yep, probably.

That's not Leno's car I don't believe. His was one of the first ones we built. This was much later into the run. Almost at the end in fact.

Look at all those red beauties....

That car is now FlorIdaho Chris' Camilo/Heffner car.

Confirmed with Rich, who is standing half cut off on the left side of the pic. He has it hanging in his garage.

I count at least 6 and possibly even a 7th red, no-stripe car in that photo. That is amazing. (Fyi - is that Rich's better side?)

Pic

Here is the pic with with both sides of me plus a few more cars. Who would have thought that we still would be working on the same cars 6 years later.

Wow !! Look at how young Rich and Dennis look!!!

I know it might sound kind of syrupy, but can you imagine the pride those guys had working on such a car? That was a once in a lifetime gig. Probably the only thing remotely comparable in Detroit would be to work on Vipers or maybe the ZR1 (assuming that is a dedicated assembly line).

My red no stripe was built during that time frame, great picture!

really cool picture....

Notice the look on Rich's face --it's like he is thinking, "A arms, filler necks, speedi sleeves, all that aftermarket sh$t ----I got a lifetime gig."

If you want to experience the people and there passion for the Ford Gt .Come to the rally !! You will get to meet team members ,test drivers and see some preproduction cars .
But best of all the PASSION the team members had and still have for the GT.There stories about there experiences are fascinating.
How often can you go for a thrill ride around a race track with a test driver??
Go to the rally section of the forum and read about past rallies.

Hey Rich, how've ya been? This is Justin BTW, fat guy in black standing next to ya.

It was a once in a life time thing for sure. I didn't realize it at the time, but looking back at it now it was definitely one of the most fulfilling projects I've done in my life.

Here's another one I dug up. This was taken in the polish room at SSV. I believe that was a preproduction car behind us - one of the first. It was taken days after I started there.

Geez! I was going to say they look the same today as they did back in the production days.....!
We are all thankful to have them here to work on our cars when they need some TLC.
