With great pleasure, wanted to draw attention to the next phase of a good friend, Scott Ahlman’s next challenge. Ahlman Engineering has been retained by Honda to work on their Indy Car chassis development. This has been a work in process for a long time, and is a great opportunity for Scott and his guys at Ahlman Engineering. It also reunites Scott with another GT Team member, Tom Reichenbach, who is at HPD now as the Chief Engineer.

Here is the official announcement from Ahlman Engineering:

Great News. Go Scott Go!

Scott is the man! I love my Ahlman Ohlins shocks for the GT. I'm installing them next week.

Congrats Scott!! Honda NEEDS your help, has been powertrain focused.

Look to see you put Chevy on the trailer ~ think you can you get this done for Indy this year??? :wink

Excellent. Well deserved!!

Congrats! Engineer finaly makes good. Now maybe he'll stop drinking Shirley Temples and switch to saki.

Congratulations Scott! Have fun with that. I just came back from a week at Daytona and Sebring - your coil-overs, with the discussed settings performed brilliantly - the GT never felt better and more nimble. I'm sure you'll do the same for Honda! Good luck, and thanks again for your continued support.

Saki? I thought engineers chose Scotch!

Just got to the hotel after a couple days at Sebring for testing today.

Thank you to Andy and All for the kind words and support on the new IndyCar work for my company. I appreciate it a lot. I continue to be very fortunate in my career. I have gained a lot from many teammates and mentors over the years. Three have been the most significant: Neil Ressler, John Valentine and Tom Reichenbach (John Valentine was the Chief Engineer for Tom and I at Ford Motorsport Technology Department under Neil Ressler). Their guidance and opportunities provided have been immeasurable from my days in ChampCar with Rahal, to graduate school, to the Ford GT and now with Tom again at Honda Racing.

Ahlman Engineering will continue to build the shocks for the GT and I am glad they are treating you guys well. Thank you for the great shock endorsements.

Yes, Rex, we will be pushing hard for Indy and rest! Wins and Championships are all that matter at this level. I have some serious rockstars as part of my team now that I have been with for many years. And great teammates at HPD. Stay tuned.

Dr Frank- I think you were in bed when Andy, Bonehead Ed, Ed Sims, McGowan and many more and I were doing shots of Jack in Sonoma. :lol About I all I drink is whiskey…I think scotch may be too refined for this Wisconsin kid!

Thanks again guys and look forward to the next gathering I can make it to with you all.

Scott
