That air box would never pass muster volume-wise from the look of it.

I sure do like the exhaust though!

Thanks for the photos!

That blower sure looks small compared to my Whipple :)

Man those photos bring back memories!

I'm getting all misty and sentimental....

I am too young to be nostalgic!

I would like to sign up for the;

1) wheels (and tires if wide enough)
2) Exhaust :eek (minus the muffler box)
3) Monochromatic AN fittings
4) Steering wheel
5) Seats with grab handles
6) Carrera GT style lever action suspension and polished control arms
7) HID headlights and lower fog lights
8) Billet Shifter Bezel and console with built in CD player
9) Gauge pointers
10) Clamshell gas struts

Man those are nice features, I wonder if it was strictly cost control to delete those items?

What did they do with that car anyway?

Great pictures of the prototype!
Thanks for the walk down memory lane.....again!

If the airbag blew off with that steering wheel - driver would surely die of shrapnel!:rofl

Hi,

Great photos :thumbsup

Any idea what the three switches next to the driver's thigh controlled?

The gauges look MUCH better than what we ended up with. Also, the push rod suspension it awesome! Man, they cut alot of the best thing that the car had going for it in my opinion. Still is a great car, but if the final product would have looked like that, these cars would be trading in the CARRERA GT price range guaranteed!

First picture I've seen of Camilo with his shirt tucked in... I'll bet it got untucked right after the brass left....

There are only two things I'd REALLY like to have seen on the production car instead of "what is": 1- REMOVEABLE headlite lenses (covers) so one doesn't hafta replace the whole 'bucket, and, 2- a slight "tweek" of the front fenders at the "A" pillar so that the windshield could be replaced w/o taking off the fenders. For the life of me I cannot 'figger' out WHAT the devil the thinking was was in either of those cases.

To that list I'd now hafta add a new "glove box" like Kip's!

Why would you care about either of those? The windishield isnt gonna get broke sittting in the garage, nor should the headlights fog up! Wait, you dont even have one sitting in the garage anymore. Gotta have a GT before you can want something to be different OLD MAN POCKETS! :)

'Know what I like about you, Shelby? Absa-tootly NUTHUN, that's whut!

('Only thing I'm surprised about regarding that comment is that HH, 'ICE, Jeffey or wunna the other "usual suspects" didn't beatcha TO it. :biggrin )

I have to let others get in on the fun once in a while :)
