Blues Brothers

Since posting pics of "Ole Yeller", I thought some of the Forum members would like to see pics of the "Blues Brothers". This morning I needed to shuffle cars in the warehouse and pulled both out together. With the 60 degree weather today and no rain, I decided it would be a nice day to take a Fall drive in the Shelby. Pictured are my '06 GT and 1965 Shelby (CSX4902 Continuation Series Genuine Cobra 427). The Cobra has a Shelby aluminum 427 block over-bored to 480 cu.in. With mild cams it runs silky smooth (475 HP and 550 ft.lb.) I find it interesting that I always thought of the Cobra as being "small" and the GT as being "big". Together, the Cobra makes the GT look small! I guess the height makes it look smaller. Enjoy the pics!

Very nice pair of cars there! Piana will have a similar pair too soon, a Shelby painted to match his GTX1.

I am guessing that the pictures were taken with a wide angle lens to make the car further from the lens appear much smaller in comparison to the car closer to the lens.

Great picture Midnite! It is so difficult to capture the depth of the Midnight Blue on these cars in pictures (you really have to see one on a sunny day to appreciate it), but this photo comes as close as any I've seen.

Seeing the Cobra and GT together in twin colors is enough to cause a gearhead-gasm. Thanks for posting.

Looks awesome. That blue without the top stripe is one of my favorite combos. It makes the car look extremely wide, especially from the back.

Indeed George, how you were able to capture that intense blue in a photo is amazing. My cheap photo on my phone on a cloudy day does no justice to the paint. I need to re-shoot in sunlight with a good camera and post new shots.

The wheels on the Midnight Blue GT are from CCW wheels. The model is one of their newest designs. Ed Sims turned me on to these guys. They are located in Daytona Beach, great service, high quality.

No kidding. I woke up to an inch of snow this morning. Chip Beck will have an interesting first couple of hundred miles in his new trailer and rental car today.
