None. You really need different size wheels to get better street tires. Kirby got some Michelin PS2's that were slightly smaller in diameter. Look for his old thread. Hoosier makes a racing tire usable on the street, but not good in weather.

Some other owners are happy with Bridgestone RE50As in 345/35/19 and 265/40/18. Also for the rear Pirelli P Corsa System are available in 345/35/19. The Pirelli would give the best grip, shortest life and are the most expensive!

What is the widest rim possible for the front? I love the upgraded bbs and want to stay stock... but If I could find a way to widen the front rims, I'd consider it....

Was at NHIS on monday with the hoosier R6, if you ever want to hit the track, these were a HUGE HUGE improvement over the GY (which I had tracked as well). They are basically a slick with 2 grooves. I am going to continue to run them on the street avoiding the rain.....

I think it would be a personal choice, based on looks. If you have bulging sidewalls on the rear, do you also want them on the fronts? Another owner PMed me has tried the various widths and didn't find much of a difference in the cornering. Maybe you could push it to also to a 275! Some owners are running that width with PS2s.

That is what it's suppose to be but for some reason when inflated yada yada yada.... the actual width is only as I stated.... I don't know why.... someone here must..... but that's about the difference..

Michelin Pilot Sport "Cup" tires for the Silver State Classic and the Bonneville 100 for me. Hoosier slicks for the road race track and Nitto drag radials for 1 mile top speed shootouts. all will fit on the stock wheels. i will be buying an extra set of the stock lightweight BBS wheels when it comes time to start racing my GT. i still got 1.5 years left on my warranty so its gonna be awhile for me yet.

I posted about this a few weeks ago. The Michelins are considerably more expensive than the Goodyears. Went with the factory type GY's. $1000 for a complete set of 4. I got 8K miles out of the rears and the fronts are good for 16K miles. Discount Tire locally.

You should try using the gas peddle on occasion. It is a lot of fun. (3k on rear GY / 6k-ish on front)

Really wanted to try the Bridgestones, but the 265 for the front has been on back order with Tire Rack for some time. Got tired of waiting so just replaced my daily driving tires with the OEM Goodyears. Have a set of Hoosiers on a second set of BBS wheels for the track. Probably would have more choices with a different wheel size, but I like the current wheel size as is...:biggrin
