Hello Kendal, Good write-up. I agree with all you say. It is important to note that with bowed washers an extremely high load on one side of the bolts happens, this is probably a large contributor to the heads snapping off. The stronger washer should help prevent this. I have already found a bolt similar to what you are having ARP make. I receive them today or tomorrow. To get them this quick I have to drill the heads myself. They are 12 point heads and allow room between the bolts for heavy duty safety wire. I get my upgrade kit today and will be doing the fix this week. I will post anything I find interesting or helpful. I can't wait 10 weeks since I want to take my GT to the Laguna Seca track on Feb 5.

May I suggest that the bolts come with very specific installation instructions? I'm thinking about something like remove bolt a,b,c.. install bolts to torque xxx, b to torque xxx, etc. etc. I'm planning to give this to my local Ford dealer and I don't want any guess work or "I know how to do this..." from the mechanic.

Big Thanks to you and AMB for getting this together and spending the time

to make this happen.. Hopefully this will be "the" fix that will let everyone

rest easy and not have to worry "when" it will happen to thier car..
