30psi boost gauge

Only thing better than 3 bars is 4 bars...

I am at bar #1 for today..
Patio at the Elbow Room, enjoying a a great #3 and a Maker Mark Manhattan with a shot glass to dip the end in... The cigar.. :-)

The guage is a must do if your serious about the whipple or tt mod...

boost gauge

Thanks Bill for posting the photos; I just bought one kit from freeflyer for my future Whipple! :biggrin

and Michael, thank you for the great work! :thumbsup

Thanks guys, I have no more left. I'll start making more now. Gaby, call if you need help during the install.

Uh oh, do I hear a Whipple coming? Think about if you want any of Kip's CF dash/binnacle as they are best done at the same time.

I initially had a little bit of sticker shock.... that lasted until I opened the box and saw how complete the kit was. A VERY nice addition to any modified GT.

Here's what Kendall's talking about - freeflyer boost gauge with Kip's CF gauge panel and binnacle. :banana

Appreciate the hook up on my gauge Michael !!

Awesome addition to my TT

:cheers

Has anyone placed a 30 psi boost gauge without a Whipple or TT?

I was thinking it could be fun just to have a cool gauge,

or tell your friends that can't make your mind up which way to go (TT or Whipple).

+1 Very cool looking gauge.....but I am only a pulley and tune thus far. Need to wait for that :biggrin to wear off before the next step. :cheers

Personally I like my gauges to use nearly the full sweep under normal operation. So the stock 15 PSI gauge is the way to go for a stock setup and the 30 PSI gauge for a TT or Whipple. Don't worry about it have Shadowman install a Whipple (CARB approved) and a new 30 PSI gauge. Then you will have a good explanation of why you had to change the gauge. :biggrin

BlackICE, I like your logic.

Thank you BlackICE for the kind words

Takes care

I love my new 30psi Boost gauge! Anyone who has a Whipple or pulley and tune should get one! It is not an easy to install but well worth it!!:cheers Oh and it matches the stock gauges perfect.

what he said :)

Quiz, if you could replace the stock voltmeter with another gauge with combining just an idiot light for voltage, but using the sweep needle for another purpose, what should the needle be used for?

Fuel pressure.

Fuel pressure.

Oil Temperature - Actually, since it's off to the left of the tach, I'd like to see a dual needle temp gauge: upper needle - 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock for water temp, and 8 o'clock to 4 o'clock for oil temp.

Then, if possible, a similar dual gauge for the voltmeter and fuel pressure.

Yeah FreeFlyer does an exceptional job with these kits. :thumbsup:thumbsup

There might be a combo W.B./ go no go volt meter comming soon....

It's a nice gauge, but realistically, who has time to look at the boost guage when you have the power of a Whipple or TT? You had better be watching the road!

Seriously, what is the actual purpose of the boost gauge?

It tells you INSTANTLY when the blower drive belt has snapped! :biggrin
