Please tell us more about the brakes! :biggrin

This is the ZR1 conversion that Heffner put on the car in coordination with B.M.F. (Dan) here on the forum... STORMCAT is also playing with the first combo...

needless to say, I think I was the first to test them :willy

I can vouch that they will stop just fine from 250 MPH :ack:ack and am in the process of putting the big Brembo kit from the Matte black car on my Heritage and putting these on the Matte black car. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AMAZING BRAKE KIT!!!!

Stop from 250 mph over and over, with no fade... by them time you get back to the trailer cool to the touch. worth every penny for safety.

I was making those stops with the ABS fuse pulled, and only one foot on the brake with about a 6-7 on the pedal.... can't brag about them enough.

plus they look really really cool :banana:banana:banana

Ray are you also running the ZR1 brakes on the front? Why was the ABS disable? With more R&D with ABS work with the ZR1 brakes?

Tested at Texas Mile, stopping from 250 MPH! Don't need any better endorsement than that!

Yes ZR1 brakes on front and back... ABS disabled because the factory Ford ABS sensor freaks out over 236 MPH... for regular driving it would be fine...

Now that brings up an interesting question, who was driving when you found this out? Must have been "exciting" event.

That great to know. I don't think my car will ever get to 236 MPH unless it is dropped out the back of a C-130 or C-5 from 20,000'.

HAHA all it takes a couple hairdryers :banana

honestly though, driving the car around on the street and the back roads the brakes are absolutely incredible...

I am sure Jason will have more input but I am sold :cheers

Awesome guys, congrats on a great first outing. Sounds like it has a lot more left in it.

WOW!!! :thumbsup:thumbsup

Terrific thread and one incredible weekend in Texas. Thanks for sharing your experience and all of your photos and vid. The excitement of the Mile comes through in each and every post from the FGT participants.

Love the picture of the 249.7 time slip. And to think I have my measly 181.9 slip in a frame in my kitchen. :lol

Best of luck going forward and even though you already know it we are all behind you. Can't wait to hear what happens when you run her again. :cheers

Ray you and Chip need to get the 2 cars together for some cool yellow photo shoot. The shot of the 2 together in from of the rig proves my point.

A yellow sunrise or sunset on a desert road or something like that.:cheers

I had to post this over here. Kumar looks hard core.

*add 2001 Space Odyssey for background music*
