Well over the years I read stories about members of this forum selling their GT and coming back around to buy another one later on. I would always sort of laugh to myself and wonder why someone would do that in the first place. Well funny enough I essentially turned myself into that same person. I ended up selling my Black / Silver 05 in 2013 and about 6 months ago I bought a white / blue stripe 2006.

It has taken me some time to get the car sorted out fully but I am pleased with the outcome. I wanted to go in a different direction from my TT 05. I was able to work it over on the dyno Friday. 802WHP/667WTQ.
Mods :
SCT X4 W/ Unleashed Tune
45L Whipple 21PSI
Heffner Cat Back
SCT BA5000 MAF
JMS Fuel max

Simple combination, the car works really well and is fun out on the road. I am just happy to have another GT back in the garage :biggrin.

Congrats!
Welcome back.

Torrie,

I was surprised when you sold your black GT and I’m not suprised that you bought another. Great to see you back in the ranks. The Ford GT seems to light a fire in enthusiasts hearts that is never extinguished. Your GT may go away but the passion for these special cars remains for life. Resistance is futile. Welcome home my good friend.

Welcome back although you never left! Love your new GT, color and all. Wow, the Dino looks great, but you know how to squeeze these GT’s buddy. Big hug to Leslie!

Cool story Torrie! And cool car!

Torrie, I have to ask, why go SC and not TT this time. Most of us TT guys like that sudden kick of turbo boost even though there is lag. Since I know you like turbo cars (ie your TT TA). Just curious and your take on this compared to your TT GT.

BTW, I'm still running your tunes without a problem.

Finally - didn't think it would take this long. Nice car with some great numbers too.

Well I wanted to do something differently this time around since I have already gone down that path. So to keep it opposite I went the big blower route. Plus I can do all of this work in my own garage. Whereas the TT route I would have had to pass the car off for a couple of months while everything was fabricated.

I already have the TT side covered with the Viper so I get the best of all of it.

Now in regards to everyone else chiming in. Thank you to all, I am super happy to be back in the fold. But without question my first GT basically ruined me for any other cars that came after it. No matter what direction I went in I kept getting pulled right back here.
But its multifaceted. The car itself is great, the history of it, plus everyone within this forum. I have made friends in here that I could see tomorrow or in a few years and it’s like no time has passed. It doesn't get any better than that.

Nice to hear you're back Torrie.

Welcome back. Time for more cross country road trips on Hoosiers.

Hey thank you Terry.

I have Brigestones this time around, trying to keep this one on the sane side :)
