NFGT floor mats?

Has anyone found a good solution for floor mats? I know there are some expensive options out there with the same basic footprint as the stock ones. I'm interested in something preferably plastic that protects the carbon fiber, especially along the sides of the footwell like the areas circled in the picture. I havent found anything at Weathertech or any place else I've searched.Inked20210318_175215_LI.jpg

I know how it is after writing that second check… Just trying to help a fellow out!

And you can see the carbon fiber through it.

Classic.....

Back on topic, the issue becomes quickly, the movement of the pedal box for most mats (I have a thick plush Lloyd mat in the 05, I totally would have put in the 18 if I could have). I too have PPF on everything down there. I did it personally, and it's FAR from perfect, but its a footwell...... I did the exoticare, they are nice and customizable, but there are not any other options that Im aware of.

Are you still recommending saran wrap and a hair dryer for PPF too?

Yes, but you need extra hold hair spray for the adhesive.

PPF.

PPF the sides in gloss or satin finish and a set of mine will work very well!

BtwoG: what you want is Weathertech floor liners for your car, but you won’t get them. A half dozen years ago, I wrote a couple obsequious letters to Weathertech, followed by a couple phone calls, trying to get them interested in making the floor liners for the 05-06 GTs. I even offered to guarantee them a minimum number of sales. No interest. With only 1/3 as many NFGTs, I doubt they’ll even return your call. 😕

When I got mine home from the delivery party I was cleaning the interior and saw the plastic protection film along foot well. I decided to leave it there for a while, It’s still there after 3.5 years and doing it’s job. You have to look hard to even see it.
