Behind the Scenes photos

A great XPEL dealer in Webster, Texas is waiting for my New GT to come in and to possibly do a complete clear wrap on it. He keeps checking with XPEL and they say they're trying to get a contact with Ford so they can send company person to inspect a new GT so they will be prepared when they starting customer deliverys. They will do a complete clear wrap if they can't get patterns made for the GT. I have seen 6 new corvettes and 1 Ferrari with total wraps that look unbelievable. Stay tuned, that's the direction I'm going.

Wonder if the new GT will be allowed to run the Texas Mile in the +199 class without an installed roll cage? Last time I was out participating in the event the tech inspector was training a guy to do inspections and while doing my car he commented that the 05/06 Ford GT was the only car not needing a roll cage installed because of how it was designed and built at the factory!

From what I'm seeing mentioned in this thread this should also be the case for the NFGT too which is great news.

Yes. The car literally has an FIA-certified steel roll cage built in it.

Next time you see Jamal or D. Pericak, I have a related research question for you Dave. With regard to the GT roll cage, is there an inspection portal to see it, e.g. where they can visually see the steel structure, and is there also the ability to verify/check the thickness of the steel structure? Or, is there just a FIA certification plate?

I would suspect if you take a NFGT to the texas mile they will let you run it in reverse if you wanted

Wouldn't running in reverse be dangerous going 200mph toward all the parked cars and trailers?
