Congrats to Scott Ahlman and Ahlman Engineering!!

StormCat,

I've ordered the SL-1 package because I don't track the car nor have the skill that you, Rocketman, Chip and others on this board do. To be honest I have deferred a lot of the set up details to Scott since I believe there would be no one better to give me advice on the subject. We are going 1/2" lower on the front and 1/4" lower on the back. I'm sure this is all very elementary to you but to me it is radical stuff. I'm stoked to say the least. Take care.

Brian, great package, and man o man you have been gone a long time....

Cangrats Scott !! Sorry I am late to the party !! Haven't been around to much,, I guess I need to get on board with some new Ohlins.. I need to get up to speed on the Hot set up !! I am sure you are busy but I am interested in some shocks. Is there a post where I can get educated on what you are offering ?? Thanks for all you do ! and good luck in the IRL or whatever they are calling it these days !!

Thank you Brian. DBK listed some good threads and take a look at my website at http://www.ahlmaneng.com/products#ford-gt as the guys noted for details. My business phone is listed there or you can reach me at [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you.

Scott

Ok, here are the rear shocks on the correct side. I had the LR & RR switched. Upon Scott's advice I went down 2 clicks on both rebound & compression to see the difference on the road. I'll let you know what I think.

Ed spends more time cleaning his FGT than cleaning teeth!

What is the difference between L & R? Clearance with roll bar? Is R&R an easy DIY job?

Bonus question. How is Öhlins pronounced? Er leens'?

I've always pronounced it "oh-leens" but it's swedish so it might be "ooh-leens". Yes, the wrong way has a clearance problem with the adjusters & the roll bar. Swapping the stockers for the Ohlins are easy. Scott gives easy instructions & is always available for questions.

Thanks Dave,, it looks like I got some home work to do.. :biggrin

Good to see you finally got them on the right way.. Forget about the name.. it sounds like you need to know what is "front" and " back " in in Swedish !! :biggrin:biggrin Who loves ya Special ED !!

When you really need to know front and back in Swedish, you can probably get by with hand signals.

No problem Brian. All good.

Thanks for congrats Kurt. Will have to catch up one of these days again.

I finally was able to take the GT out for a road test with Scott's Ohlins. Very nice. Scott had me go down 2 on both the rebound & comp clickers for the street & it was perfect. I really like them compared to stock & the Penskes. I can't wait to take them on the track!

Ed

PS It was 75 today so I was able to push a little harder than recently. Love the shocks!

Well ,today was a big day for me .I finally put in my Ohlins shocks I got from the master suspension guru Scott Ahlman! Prior to me having installed them I had only driven on them in Specracers car. I didn’t even have to drive them much to realize how terrific they are!I was so impressed I had to have them! The performance is suburb and the ride is very compliant. No harshness what so ever. The best after factory mod you can do!If you have not driven on them don’t wait! Get them while you can! A truly exceptional product! THANK YOU SCOTT!!!!
