Famous / VIP´s driving GT´s

Carroll had two (besides Workhorse 1 in the museum). Tried to buy one but he wasn't interested in selling.

John Hendricks (from the Discovery Channel) had two that were available (along with Corvette Z06, Aston Martin DBN and Ferrari 360 - all two each) for a week of driving fun for $10K based out of the Gateway Canyons Resort. I tried to buy one of his too but he'd just sold one of each and was keeping one of each.

Jack Roush has 3

Dan Gurney

Shelby got the last five blue cars off the line as part of his agreement with Ford. They were testing them at Wixom before delivery when we were at Rally I.

Does such a thing exist as a famous Canadian?

He could have had them made in red, but Shelby was a smart man, he knew the blues were the best of the best! :biggrin

Didn't bob segar have (had) one, and had an ash tray installed?

Wayne Gretzky has or had one and he is Canadian

Major League Baseball pitcher Randy Johnson had a yellow-black stripes GT back in 2005 when he was playing here in AZ. How he squeezed himself in to drive it I have no idea.

Chip

Dan Gurney's was a birthday gift from his wife, complete with the Gurney bubble in the door.

Wayne Gretsky's bore the number 99, the jersey number he wore for the majority of his hockey career.

Dan and I a few years ago.

When Phil Hill saw mine in 2007, he said "It looks a lot better than the originals...you know, Dan has one too!"

Here is one of the originals, at the Nürburgring in 1964

?? There's obvious body panel damage easily visible in the photos. Maybe Sandra's work pre-accident?

Sammy Hagar. Greg Biffle both red.
