How much are those double-stack garage lifts?:biggrin:lol

Stromy, there is nothing in the plan at RoadAmerica to sell these cars. DriveBy and I will be there for sure, but if it happens, do you want to be a phone bidder with me shilling for you?

It was just a wild guess.. What better venue to sell them with some Vintage GT 40's and some new versions running around !!

Dave would be the man here with jamal....The first legal titled gt as you well know was auctioned for ALOT of money...would think they are protos or something else as it wouldnt look to good to undercut the first car 4 years ago. Just my take...:shrug gtjoey . DBK ANY CLUES?:thumbsup

They are being auctioned at RM and then SVT is auctioning one of their remaining 4 at Barret Jackson after the rally. The two at RM were low VIN PB2 cars that the marketing people at FMC had. The car SVT is auctioning is I think 002 or something and they are auctioning it with the 002 00 Cobra R. Both are red. The RM cars are not really notable so I would expect they won't bring much money.

Good to know:thumbsup all early protos at in between stages, again non title cars...looks like the ones you put together at vegas were the cream of the crop :thumbsup gtjoey1314:thumbsup

These cars as far as being cars aren't any better or worse, but they definitely don't have quite the appeal to the FGT crowd that the Vegas cars had. I think marketing cars probably don't have the attraction that a testing or development car would have.

Hello, The #6 car was at the 45th Anniversary of the Mustang show in Al. This April. It was on a display that showed the bottom of the car which I have to say the car has been driven hard and the under carnage shows it. I may have pictures still. I sent them to GT Jeff. Just my opinion! Don't forget to get a Inspection.:thumbsup

I hope that the cars go for ALOT! They should. BTW, I never have seen the video clips from autoweek before. It looks like a couple college kids produce it in their dorm room!

Marketing cars

Here's a pic of triple-zero "7":

pictures of triple-zero "6" on its side (that 68Rcodeman took) are posted in my Gallery labeled "Ford GT Prototypes".

Marketing and Test cars see a lot of abuse - some of it intentional - where engineers are supposed to push them to expose any potential issues; others where inexperienced or overzealous drivers tear them up just because somebody gave them the keys to "try it out".

Jeff

Thanks, Cobrajeff .

Jeff sorry for the mis-spell on your user name. I went off of memory which is not as good as it use to be.:biggrin
Thanks David

Anyone know the miles on any of theses cars....SVT or protos?

Bank on the marketing cars being beat regardless of miles. Not sure about the SVT car. It's vin 117 and was the second physically produced car. They are selling it together with the second production 00 Cobra R at Barrett, so it will probably bring some money.

Dave ................."marketing cars" as in Nardo ?

I would think that a publicized GT would be just as marketable ?

And .................... it was great to see you at Carlisle. :thumbsup

Doug, when I say "marketing cars", I mean the actual marketing division of FMC had them in their possession, not SVT or the FGT team. So I'm sure there's good backstory to them, but not involving the FGT Team personalities the majority of GT owners are familiar with (i.e Jamal was over last night and he didn't even know who had the european marketing car). I assume a car like the Nardo car or the black CP-1 went for more money regardless of condition just because lots of people we regularly associate with the program were involved with them.

You too bud. :cheers

These are daily clips... : ) A low cost alternative to the weekly show..

Since they've never been titled, does that mean once you title them you get a three year warranty?

That's the case with Sonic blue.

I purchased my 2005 #252 in July 2008 and has new start date and Warr until 2011. :thumbsup
