What have you done with your new Ford GT?

Today was my first long trip. 300+ mi to the SF Bay Area & back. It was in the 60s & typical NorCal winter sunshine! The car ran wonderfully. From bumper to bumper 10 mph to 100+ (still in bumper to bumper) it was flawless. You know when you are in N mode & the wing is up you are moving along!

PS I drove in San Francisco a lot today & the GT was flawless. The hill assist feature (is that what it is called?) was fantastic. I never got air off of Steve McQueen's (Bullitt) spots though!

It was there the whole day! Ha!

Also I went to Dianese (motorcycle clothing) in SF & a Porsche dealer in the Bay Area to show them the NGT. I had to spend over an hour at each shop so everyone could either sit in the car or take photos!

You had some coverage when you were at C&C last week.

Radar is installed!

100 mile drive on Christmas Day!

What a joy! Looks like you were taking it easy at only 81 mph. Was Heidi your co-pilot and how much does she like it?

BEAUTIFUL color...... perfect for the Golden State of the US!

Looking forward to seeing it live in 2019!

Happy New Year!

Is the red GT triheart's? When was the first generation GT real deal or an SPF?

The red '05 GT is Triheart's. The 1960s GT is a kit from some random dude. But still cool.

PS Looks wet but fog came in for an hour then sun came out. Never drove in the wet!

Nice job Ed! Glad to hear you had it out for a nice long drive

Ed: Enjoy the heck out of it!, Glad to see you out doing that!

Mine was a featured car at a recent show alongside Tomy’s , and will be featured at this weekend’s cars and coffee. Meanwhile, we took it up to our ranch over Christmas and played around on the wonderful Hill Country roads. I’ve now got over 700 miles so will be doing its first oil change shortly. Question, do you have to go through the same priming process after the oil change (both pedals to the floor until you see oil pressure)?

My initial impressions are;
- more comfortable than expected
- world-class steering feel, the best I’ve driven
- loud AF when stepping on it!

Hope this qualifies for this thread. It was good to see John and Brian this am at a car show in palm beach.

Fun NFGT party with Ed and his new beauty! Worth the 880 miles round trip drive to see and sit in in. Was planning to drive my '06 but the rain forecast was spot on, and it was raining really hard during the later part of the drive. The I-80 near the mountains was closed off from rapid snowfall. But we were warm inside with flame heaters and food and beverages.
