Zoinks! That's awesome. Although the RHD would probably throw me off and end up grenading the trans:(

Nah. RHD is very easy to adapt to. Especially, if you're in a RHD country.

Being a pedestrian in a RHD country is much harder. Look left! No look right! No! Ahhhh!

Very true. I have no problem driving a RHD manual, but it's a little disconcerting being a pedestrian in those countries.

I had no trouble driving in RHD countries - but I continually would always walk up to the wrong side to get in!

There was nothing 'pedestrian' about you when you were in this RHD country Paul, I expect the hire company had to offload that Corsa pretty quick!

I must admit driving my RHD Lotus Super Seven is much more difficult than LHD .... fast stifting often go wrong

I had never paid much attention to those cars until my son recently pointed out a similar RHD version. They are nice looking and very subdued. A sleeper to the uninformed.

While one can get proficient at driving RHD cars (Gurney & P. Hill were great at it), due to the diversity of drivers of the GT40s of the '60s, Ford Advanced Vehicles (FAV, Slough) wisely chose to place the gearshift on the right side of the driver. The Birdcage Maserati did the same, as the majority of drivers are right-handed and come from countries where LHD is more common. Jaguar, on the other hand, employed primarily English and Scottish drivers so the C &
D-Types left the shifter on the tunnel.

Also note that the Birdcage had multiple cup and bottle holders…very thoughtful of the Italians.

Drove in OZ, was fine, but rotaries took an extra level of focus, to look the correct way. Shifting was easy, as the pedals are in a normal configuration.

DBK, that an actual "legal" car here? I remember wasnt there one that went to the crusher in Cali because it was not properly imported, or something like that?
