Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

Who would have thought that "Get the fever with the beaver" would be a successful tagline?

Took the 05 out yesterday for a 60 mile exercise on a perfect day. Don't get me wrong we love the NFGT as a weapons grade, rolling art masterpiece but the driving pleasure and unbelievable experiences we enjoyed with the 05 is something that will be a hard act to follow.

Took advantage of some beautiful, cool weather here in Michigan. Took a trip down to the Gilmore Auto Museum which is about 150 miles round trip through some beautiful country roads. Amy took the ‘06 and never gave it up!

So happy to hear that.

Also owner of a 2018, I agree completely about the driving pleasure much better with the 05.

The Chateau Elan Military Support Foundation was created to help local veterans to feed their families, transition occupations, gain life skills to continue serving. They put on their first annual charity car show at the Chateau Elan hotel and winery. Over 180 cars and 500 guests attended the event. H Smith brought out the Robertson Racing Le Mans podium Ford GT. My 2006 red GT won best in class proving what everyone here already knows. Our cars are timeless and have wide appeal and easily stand up to modern Ferraris, McLarens, Vipers, and other exotics.

Cool to look at and drive other cars, but there's only 1 in that pic I'd want, and that's yours 🍻

(OK, I wouldn't mind a a Viper)

Brought the gun to a knife fight. (Kidding).

Did a Porsche run with a fun local club, and asked if it was okay to bring non-marquee vehicles (wanted to check the emissions readiness condition), they said sure, and they loved my GT.

Pumpkin Patch 5 hour run with some nice twisty roads near Valley Center, CA.

Funny, they even took the Group Run photo with my car in the background.IMG_9164.jpgIMG_9152.jpg

Just ordered Bridgestone Potenzas from 4wheelonline. I also cleaned the floormats and exhaust tips.

Curious as to what method and product you used to clean the OEM floormats, if that is what you are referring to morsben. I'm going to do my full interior detail as I prepare for an upcoming car show.

SYCO, I have used lighter fluid to clean up the goo. You will need to clean with soap and water afterwards to get the residue off. Provided they still sell such a toxic chemical in California.

I used paint thinner and that worked well.

Just ordered a MoTec M150 from M2K and a Radium surge tank to enhance the foundation of my TT build next year.

Very cool. Having an Accufab long block sure does help!

DiTo here Gary!
The new car is absolutely the coolest most state of the art car ever made. Design performance everything unbelievable!
But the 05/06 GT’s are the most iconic and analog cars of all time! It truly is a timeless beauty! I’m sure the new GT will also be a timeless beauty
The driving experience of either is a unique experience! But the 06 GT is like putting comfy slippers on!
But if I could have just one.............
Well I’m lucky as in very, not to have to make that choice!

Put some new Bridgestones on Friday Morning. I was able to coax a local Porsche Tuning/manufacturing shop to accept a non-Porsche into their fold. They did a great job. 3 Tires balanced with less than 1/2 ounce, one was just under an ounce of weights.

Thank you Jacob at Dundon Motorsport. https://www.dundonmotorsports.com/ (y)(y)

Likewise. I just had a new set of Bridgestones mounted. I didn’t get the exact weights, but obviously not much.
