Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

I got to 230+degrees at Utah too. I gave the engine and brakes a chance to cool off by not standing on the gas all the way down the straight.
If you want to stay in the throttle... give Accufab a call and see if they have a solution for you that is relatively inexpensive.

Added some carbon to my 06 GT. Front spoiler and rear panel and diffuser. Install next!

I saw a car for sale with non OEM gauge cluster. Is OEM gauge cluster easy to find?

No, and it is expensive.

No, and it is expensive.
How much of a big deal is it to not have oem cluster? And expensive as in how much? Seems like the owner has non functioning oem cluster with him.

That's starting to seem like the usual answer for all FGT parts.

This might be minutiae to y'all, but I found a decent way to clean the lug nut tunnels on the wheels: Put a wet microfiber towel over a 24 mm socket, push it over the lug nut and rotate it; keep your hand on the towel, otherwise the towel doesn't rotate. 24 mm is small enough to fit in the tunnel with the towel over it and big enough that the socket and towel rotate easily over the lug nut. Repeat with a dry towel.

Nice tip!

Some pretty stout baseline numbers, I saw. Must have a Whipple?

I am not seeing the results.

Where should I look?

Just ask for the super secret cooling device?

😎

I'll guess it's a tune to turn both fans on, full speed, at a lower temp.

I use a paint brush for lugs, center cap gap, valve stem, where rubber meets rim, and several other gaps around vehicle. My buddy came out with this brush for cleaning bikes but it works great for rims, suspension linkage, boat drives, tight places you're tired of cutting your hands in. https://idscarcare.com/products/big-ez-detail-brush Bezos sells them too

I wanted an all stock GT for value reasons. Now that I have one and drive it, I want all the performance mods and could care less if it had aftermarket gauges so long as they worked. I don't think aftermarket gauges should affect price, especially if they give you the OEM set with sale. Well, maybe the 6 mile GT price should be a little lower if they were aftermarket. Heck, he saved you a headache by replacing them. One might argue that could add value.

Any savvy GT buyer knows of the gauge issues and the reason the gauges might be swapped out.

Where can one get those?

I had some spares that he made in to carbon
He is in Ma
I waited several months for him to finish the project
Can check with him if he’s interested in doing any more
