For those who wish to remain anonymous :biggrin

I just had to post this because last night I finally hit a certain magic speed, and it was awesome.

Just voted... I backed off at 5mph below the magic number, in my defence it was raining.

that's fast for rain, by all means... :thumbsup

Keep the tyres like new, I'd say... They are 'low profile' to start with... :rofl

Come to a less rainy country soon, & visit your buddy Stefan :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

one three zero (but that was in third). Was just playing and ran out of room. Definitely planning on hitting that "certain magic number" at the right time and place.

below 80,
change your lifestyle, go to a track, or buy a Prius.

Com'on, the fun is way up there... as much as you're comfortable. but try to get into third gear once or twice...

Hit "The Number" .

O.K.
I just voted on the "Poll".:wink
Will not divulge in public the number, but it was FUNNNNN!!!:thumbsup
I just LOVE this car!!

Stefan - I hear you buddy! We'll do it one day - I promise..... The near magic number was on a wet day south of Le Mans on an empty 2 lane freeway/toll road at 8am. It felt solid, but the fact it was raining (no surface water though to speak of) made me back off.

Interesting to read the old posts on this subject - particularly the warnings.

Take heed gentlemen and drive with care.....

:eek

This car is very STABLE at speed!!! Lookin for the right pice of road to make the magic myself :banana

I was just gonna ask that - I've been up to 175 but that was with a passenger and I decided not to risk the other person's hide because we were coming up on traffic. But I have heard from two other experienced drivers that they thought their cars felt too 'light' at 180 to keep going. In the opinion of those who know personally (or - wink- know from their "friends" experience) is the car rock solid at 200? Any drama? Is wind an issue either? PM me if you want.

Fast Freddie,

Missed you at the awards banquet. Nice job comming in 2nd... beat me by 2.

Are you thinking about returning in May?
Larry

GTx,

Here's a road for you. Look here > www.SSCC.US

Hey Larry, how much does something like that (the GPS) cost? I don't need anything fancy, but I'd like one just for that purpose. I hope to hit one of those events at least once next year!

it's very stable and not lite at all, Comparing in a ferrari, you ARE tense at these speeds. Gt very (comparably) comforting even over 200 mph, might feel different if doing this for the first time or if one usually drives yellow cabs around manhattan, of course... :rofl
