Not sure if I'm just a puss, but I do know I wouldn't do well in a overnight stay at the LA County jail making "love vows" to Buba. At those speeds in this area thats where your going.
Watching some of these videos.....I don't know how you guys pull it off. :eek
Thats easy. Florida doesn't have speed limits for the left hand lane. If they wanted them, they would put speed limit signs on the left AND right, but normally its just the right lane with a speed limit. :banana

Heres a good example, theres no speed limit if you're on the left, see ? :rofl

How much space?

How much blacktop do you typically need to hit magic, maintain a few seconds, then brake for safety?

If I recall correctly a stock GT get up to about 175 in a mile. So you would need about 2 miles would be my guess. Others on the board must know for sure from real life experience.

At least 2 miles from a rolling start unless you want to hammer the brakes. You have to figure once you get up there you're going a mile in under 20 seconds.

My top speed was on the big track at Willow Springs....have yet to hit anything remotely "magic" on the freeway system here in SoCal, just low triple digits here and there.
