Arrived home last night from NC. Looking at all the photos, cars, rain-soaked smiling faces and beginning to prepare to fully clean and service my GT, truck and trailer.
Margaret and I again had a great time with our entire GT Family. It was fun seeing old friends from Rally 1, 2, 3 & 4 and LeMans and nice to meet the 'newbees' who made Rally V their first of many to come.
I hope everyone's trip home was successful.

Andy & Margaret, Thanks for making me feel at home @ my first Rally! My wife took ill while I was away so I had to leave Friday @ noon and drove straight through with the rig which takes a bit longer (about 13.5 hours) but she is still undergoing test and I hope & pray all will be fine. Next time remind me and I'll bring some No-Doze for Chip :)

Pump me up!

Next time remind me and I'll bring some No-Doze for Chip :)

:lol :lol :lol :lol

TP,

For several days before and during the Rally I was pretty busy and was only sleeping about four hours a night. As long as I kept moving I was fine, but the moment I stopped moving, I fell asleep (no matter where I was!). :ack

I could have used those No-Doze pills! :lol It was great seeing you at the rally.

Chip

It was great to meet old and new friends at the Rally. What a friendly bunch of people :thumbsup:cheers

The long trip was definately worth it and we got much more quality track time than we could have ever hoped for - approx 60-65 laps on VIR in a surprisingly well handling Vette was simply awesome :rofl The thing that impressed me the most was fearless Mrs. Moose rinding with me in the Yellow rental :thumbsup:biggrin

Also, it was great to beat "unbeatable" Jason at the Go Kart track, even though I must agree with Jason that the whole contest was rigged in advance by Dave. :biggrin:lol:rofl

:thumbsup To all who made this happen :thumbsup

:cheers:cheers

I was gonna ask if there was like 3 rental Vettes out there because it seemed like it was out constantly. I guess it was just Team Copenhagen getting their money worth.

I'm telling you, I definitely did not rig the go kart action. All I know is that the dude said there were four better karts and I stuck to lucky #21. :lol It's not my fault that Heffner forgot how to drive after I talked him up big time.

It was great seeing everyone again and I hope everyone got back home safe and sound. I know HiloDave as well as PL510Jeff are still driving as I write this so I hope those two arrive home safely as well.

Thank you DBK, Francesca, Chip and all the others who made this event possible - It was a blast!:cheers

Good to see you Andy and everyone else. I especially appreciated the briefing I got from Neil and the Ford Guys and discussion we were able to have on Friday while we enjoyed our morning coffee. It was a relaxing way to wind up two intense days on the track in the rain.

Thank you to all who instructed at the track event.I was very pleased with our instructors..We had a very experienced group as evidenced by how safe the event was in the rain as well as in the dry.Great job guys !
A very special thanks to my buddy Gordo and Peter Krause.I could not have done it with out them!
Randy Cade and Steve Darrarh also deserve a big thank you for helping me find the local instructors. They were excellent !Gordon was also a very big help with helping me find the high caliber instructors we had.
Thank you to The Gt Guys for there help and friendship.
DBK thank you for all your help.(send poster!)

Dave, Chip, Francesca, etc... You guys put together a great event. I was especially impressed with the amount of time we got to spend with the Matech GT guys, and want to thank Ray for bringing the Matech GT to VIR, giving us all a once in a lifetime chance to see Thomas Mutsch work his magic around the track. Unreal!!!! :eek I'm now going to have to take a trip to Europe to see these guys race! :banana

And I'd like to send out a thank you to Ron and Mitch (Ray's buddy) for giving out rides on the track. :thumbsup If I bring a track worthy car to the event next year, I wonder if they will be brave enough to let this novice return the favor! :biggrin
