I know the company, they have an excellent rep. I would buy them but I need to leave my cats on, for that reason I could never do the twin turbo conversion, otherwise I would have gone that route instead of the Whipple. Merry Christmas Tom!

I saw these several months ago and they are nice pieces indeed. On a car with a tune and pulley though there was no valid measurable/repeatable power gains from what I remember.

their products are TOP NOTCH. I will be running a set of their headers, 3" x pipe and 3" catback on my Shelby in the next couple of months.

I agree that they are very nice and yet as you have stated the measured value is small. These results are fairly typical of supercharged motors where a good flowing OEM manifold verus headers produce a very small difference. Turbos on the other hand like as much of the extreme exhaust heat and flow as possible.

Happy Holidays

I'm ordering 2 sets for the old mans cars in January.

The shop I work for down in Phoenix is about to become a WD for them. If none of the boards authorized vendors carry SW, feel free to drop me a PM as I may be able to help you out.

I think the no cats system has the incorrect pictures? These may help out potential customers more. I have no idea why they won't put these on their website...

Now these pictures tell a different story; the systerm all the way back look "VERY" nice.

Did I miss it or is there a sound clip posted?

Thank you

Looking at where the pipes run, I would definitely make some heat shields around the cats and part of the long tubes if you plan to drive the car hard.

heat shields?

The cats appear to be close to the stock position. They look smaller though. Are you recommending heat shields on the cats? The stock cats do not have shields. The stock headers have shields though. I know a few hard driving owners who have the Ford Racing Parts headers with no shields & no problems.

Does the Stainless Works system come with mufflers/internal baffles/etc? Tubular mandrel bent headers always look cool. Especially in stainless.

Very slick, wonder if I could pass smog with a snifter test?? I really like what I see and hear.:biggrin

Hey "Mad" thanks for the posting your question. I think that I am sold! I may order a set for the Gulf car. It would be nice if they dressed up the exhaust tips similar to the Borla tips. I'll check their site. I think that the ceramic coating is the way to go to abate heat.

Due Diligence

After my last post, I used "Mad's" link to check these guys out. It turns out that they are located right down the street from me! I plan to go over to their place to check out their stuff for my GT and my Shelby project. I'll post my comments on this thread after I make my trip. If they let me take some pictures of their place, I'll post that too. I'll keep the forum posted.

Great Tim- I look forward to your updates. :thumbsup

+2 on updates and facility pics :thumbsup

I like it.....

So the big question; how much of a PITA was it to remove the OEM and get this system in place? I am at the point of installed the big pump and even though I do not look for more performance bang for the buck; the looks are stunning.

Thank you again

I had stainless weld in extra 02 bungs before coating. In case I decide to add A/F meter later on
