Sold for $85,000? Ford GT with 1950 miles???????????

The answer, surely, would be to ensure no Country singers get near our GT's with a pen. :lol

wow... so what's up with athe 116 rating at 98.3 positive if it is fake? are they also hi jacking the sellers account? crazy...
yeah, people have been hijacking accounts to do this for a while now. it makes the seller seem more "real"

These crooks are really stupid criminals. (Maybe not as dumb as the people that actually fall for them though.)

The sad truth. :willy

So anyone want to see my new white blue stripe 05 GT ??

Would love to see it!!:thumbsup

If you read the grammer in the ad and the deposit requirements that should be enough to not even make a comment IMO!

Notice that the BUYER already left them NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!!!

interesting to check previous transactions and the value of them...
buyer beware....

I guess it is too late to place the winning bid and then pay the deposit with one a cashiers check drawn from the Last Bank of Nigeria.

I'da written a check on a Bahama's branch of the Neoprene National Bank & fought fire with fire...

(Shoot! I just read 'ICE's post! 'Guess he beat me to it! :lol)

Exactly! And the buyer may have fallen for a similar scam before - his feedback includes this comment:
"fatsca tried to scam me out of $16,000 on motorcycle"

They can get their score up by selling trinkets and delivering them as promised. Then they are ready for the big score.

Its more likely the ID was stolen... you know those fake emails you get from eBay to update your information or they will suspend your account...

Here he goes again. Relisted the car but for a starting bid of 250K:frown

There sure is some funny business going on there... the guy that bought it on a BIN paid $250k for this 2005, with 2k miles on it, and this same guy bought a 2006 with 7 miles on it for $178,000 just a week ago http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330191354884

One would pay about $90 for the listing plus a percentage of the final sale price to E-Bay. Note that the auction was ended early. Also note that if this was Allan Jackson's car, it was raffled off, and won by someone. Therefore it is conceivable that this car was sold by the raffle winner for a deeply disounted price, against which no investment (other than a $100 raffle ticket) was made.

You may have hit it on the head. I have busted four guys for this fraudulent practice. (See earlier thread about a year ago starte by TMSTUNTS)

Even if that was the case he has far more than $100 invested in it... The minute he won it he owes sales tax and the feds and state want their income tax on the fair market value... $160,000 added to his regular income puts him in, what, a 33% federal bracket plus his state income tax bracket, PLUS sales tax. I'd bet the winner of a $160,000 car would have to pay at least $50,000 in various taxes.

You really have to watch out for second chance offers. How they get the info is beyond me. I was bidding on a watch, didn't get it, got a second chance offer at my high bid, asked the seller a question and he said his account was hacked.

The Allan Jackson FGT has been on and off the market since the day Jackson turned it loose.

You know all those emails you get from ebay saying you have a problem with your account and ask you to log in. This is what they do with your password.:thumbsdow
