Aaaaaaaaah. There's something phoney going on there...

NOBODY in their right mind would let a GOOD car (not wrecked) go for that.

Yeah right :rolleyes

Not a chance !! PS

Thanks, "S.S." ... But despite your 'clue in' - I STILL have no idea who the heck he is!!!:rofl

My question is if you sell a car on ebay do you pay a flat fee to ebay or is it a percentage of the sale price? Still trying to figure out $85,000:bs

Ebay auctions in no way indicate what actually happened. It's not like factual auction data. Things end with prices way higher and lower than what they end up changing hands for all the time.

Whoever worked out this deal probably paid the balance with cash so they wouldn't have to pay as much sales tax. (I paid about 7,000 sales tax on mine :frown)

They are counting on the IRS not raising an eyebrow over an $85,000 "used car".

Uxbridge is in my "hood" I would have picked that up "local" for 85k.....

Guys, it is a scam. I see it all the time. That was is/was on ebay this last week from a different user. I contacted them and they wanted almost $200k. I dont think they came down over $100k in a week. It is the typical ebay scam. They will get some idiot to wire them money. Its very sad!

I saw this car this summer at a local car night. The owner (at least at the time) did not know about the GT Forum. He had some strange story about someone else won the car in a raffel but could not pay the taxes on it, so he bought it from the winner (not sure how much).

Has anyone tried to contact him? Would be curious what happened.

ps the listing town of the seller seems correct for the guy I met this summer.

Some kid that only buys video games just got $17k. These scams amaze me. Although, they have raised the Buy It Now from $50k to $85k so they don't raise any red flags. Yeah right! We all know if the BIN would've been even as low as $145k no one would've questioned it. These crooks are really stupid criminals. (Maybe not as dumb as the people that actually fall for them though.) Very sad indeed.

wow... so what's up with athe 116 rating at 98.3 positive if it is fake? are they also hi jacking the sellers account? crazy...

The guy can't even spell. It has Nigeria written all over it.
