Kirby, I have never seen the hardtop mounted. Does the front lip come over the windshield? it appears as though it is 3 inches down onto the windshield.

The few I saw installed at the Rally complimented the car. The lip comes over the windshield, and surprisingly it looks pretty good in person. IMO, the hard top is more for resale and making the car complete. The reality is very few X1's will ever use a hardtop once they have the soft top alternative which is stowable in the car, easily and quickly installed/removed and keeps the water and wind out. The non-Genaddi people currently making soft tops will follow that with their hard top alternatives. :cheers
