One of my gauges is going out, and I figured it was a good time to just replace them all. I'd like to see what you did, as I am indecisive. gauge-app-banner-ford-gt-1200x500px-sm.jpg
 
Is your failing gauge tach or speedo? If not you do know that the small gauges are available that won't fail. It still leaves you exposed on the big gauges but is an option if you prefer the original gauge style. The Speedhut comes in some lots of configs but some of them do look sharp.
 
Very timely topic! I just came in from the garage working on replacing mine! I'll start a new thread to ask, but how the hell is anyone able to see up behind the driver's kick panel to get to the gauge connections to make sure you're doing the right thing?! I'm not even overweight or all that old but WOW I feel like I need a 15" high table I can lay on and that can extend me into the driver's foot well 😵
 
Step 1: Have a son
Step 2: Teach him how to work on GTs
Step 3: Swallow your pride when you realize he's better than you
Step 4: Give him all the tough jobs....

A table would be a great idea. Couple of 2x4s and a 2ftx4ft piece of plywood

Had the bezels redone and redid the backing plate to replicate the original look

Amazon has everything ... I should've known!
 
I decided to match the gauges to my Quick Silver's brake calipers and shift knob (and start button 🤪):

and the stop sign and the MGB or whatever that is:

Is this where we are suppossed to show off our shift balls? BTW, the standard rubber shifter boot is just tragic
