Seat grommets

I was wondering if anyone has had some of the plastic seat grommets warp or distort? I just noticed a couple that seem to have a slight warp on the outer lip? Only 6k miles so really nothing to do with wear. - Also, besides hunting various dealers.. is there a good source for oem parts?

I ordered most of my parts from Tasca (www.tascaparts.com). Their prices with shipping were way below the local dealer's best price. The exception being "large" items, e.g., the chin spoiler, where size dictates the shipping cost not weight.

Yes, Mine are starting to do this. I am going to cover them up with the hot buttons, but not wanting silver, I am going to paint mine black.

6200 miles on mine and starting to show signs of wear maybe chalk it up to patina?

I think it is age related, not usage or abuse.

Some have it and right next to one that does will be one without any rippling at all.

Probably a good idea to add my seat buttons to them. Will hold in place better and keep them from distorting further if the plastic has started degrading..
