Rally 12 Photos

Here we go again... The common denominator was Stormcat's potato chips.

Who else would buy potato chips just to do a science experiment on the way to a GT rally?

BTW, with 13" wheels on your trailer the tire selection is extremely limited. I think you have to use load range D, which may be hard to find while traveling. For that reason alone I'd have two spares.

Assuming your trailer is about 2,000 lbs, fully loaded with gas in the car, a few tools and the usual crap, you're about 5,600 lbs total. With load range C, that would be pushing the maximum load rating...about 400 lbs to spare. Load range D gives you about a 1,200 lb. cushion.

Kenda's seem to be highly rated.

Moose on the loose, I almost hit her one night in the GT, that would not have been pleasant for either of us!

Rally 12 motivated me to install my "hot buttons". They have been sitting on the shelf for a while.

Looks great! Looks like you installed the belt surrounds too, or else I just didn't notice them before. :thumbsup

Belt surrounds too. Bought them from John on the last production run he made.

FlorIdaho Chris told me about a new Goodyear. Endurance, LR D, ST but with N speed rating (87 mph), and made in USA. In spite of my bad experience with Goodyear, I will try these next.

For the trip from Texas, I put on 4 of the above (15"). Spun the tread off one near Park City. Was running about 80.

Junked the remaining 3 at Discount Tire in SLC and put on 4 more. Made it back to Texas fine at 80.

I put a few pictures of Thursday's drive up in an Album. Dave this Rally was off the hook.

Just wanted to show everyone how short the seasons are in Park City. One month ago, we were driving our GTs with green mountain backdrops. Today was the first official snowfall in Park City!

Fantastic. Looks like Sidewinder, 9,990 and Squaretop -- looking forward to some runs soon....

Wow, that is crazy!

Nice shots Vinnie....BTW...was entertaining observing Sue in my rear view mirror hanging out of the car at speed grabbing shots whenever possible!

She scares the hell out of me when she does that. We've been married 24 years now and I've learned that what I think is irrelevant. She always ends up right in the end anyways. Whatever . . . Haha!
