Maybe Raj will join in and enlighten us a little....:biggrin

I'm hoping! I'm just astounded that, in today's corporate environment, something like this could happen:

"After the Mustang proposal was rejected, Nair eventually began leading a group of fewer than 12 people in late 2013 to research and design an all-new Ford GT without the blessing of top executives in the Glass House, including current CEO Mark Fields, Executive Chairman Bill Ford and then-CEO Alan Mulally."

See http://www.autonews.com/article/201...d-returned-to-le-mans-with-gt-and-not-mustang.

Raj is not only good at product development, he's amazing in sales! Wow. What a cool story.

Dave pointed out the huge risk involved in the project. Imagine the conversation. "We should design and build an entirely new GT supercar (race and production) and stake our reputation on contesting the 24 Hours of Le Mans with it on the 50th anniversary of our 1966 1-2-3 finish." The fact that they actually did it, and produced such a beautiful car, is a very BFD.

+1!

$250k? That's the price of GT4 cars...

That was an incredible presentation to attend (the SAE presentation where these comments were made).

I think a feature film about the GT is in order. [emoji3]
