If you buy an 'unused' GT today, you are buying damaged goods if you intend to drive it. A GT sitting for 10yrs is in FAR worse condition internally than one that has seen limited regular use. The unused one got ravaged by time, rather than the previous owner. There are no new GTs and those that think they are paying for one are much less careful with their money than I.

I disagree. I have a 2005 unused GT sitting in a climate controlled environment. Each year I start it 3-5 times and let it get up to operating temps. I change all fluids as well once a year, including gas and drive it on and off the lift as well. You can for the most part, maintain an undriven car to ensure driveability, if you are diligent about it. It may not be quite as perfect, but it isn't in "FAR WORSE" condition than a used GT. I am sure I could license mine and drive it with no adverse effects. It leaks oil in the same place as all other GT's I have seen, it drives and starts perfectly.

I do respect everyone's opinions and thoughts on this subject.:thumbsup However these cars are not WWII German battle tanks nor 1960's or 70's Jaguar's fitted with crappy inferior rubber hoses and seals, riding on old rubber A-Arm bushings and filled with out dated oils. If I wanted a "new" "O" mile virgin GT that I knew hadn't been beat on, the fact that it sat wouldn't concern me one bit. If I had just dropped 300k+ for the car, installing a new battery, replacing the out of round tires or possibly having to recharge the A/C would just be factored into the purchase cost.
You're just saying this because your garage queen is sprouting roots into the garage floor.

Nah. They're fine just sitting - as long as it's not out in the elements. We serviced a GT with ~300 miles on the odo a couple of weeks ago. Buyer had it towed here. We did all of the fluids, took a peek at the cylinder walls (fine), and then she fired right up and purred like a kitten. Have both a 57,000 mile one and a 700 mile car in the shop right now. Hard pressed to tell any differences.

I love seeing all the people who say the cars are falling apart if they are sitting. That couldn't be further from the truth. As long as they are stored properly, they are perfectly fine. We have sold more delivery mile GTs than I can count of which several of the new owners of these delivery mile cars bought the cars to drive, and they did just that. And they have been driving them problem free for thousands of miles. The only negatives I have seen to a few delivery mile cars is they were never driven to be tested for the original factory flaws that some of these cars had when they were originally built. We honestly have seen very very few issues with these 10 year old garage queens. Let's hope this still rings true at 20 years...
If there were ever an expert in this subject, they have spoken and I stand corrected. Actually glad to hear it. I have been on the receiving end of other cars that were 'correctly stored' garage queens and spent many hours and $$ in putting them back on the road. My experience is not with the GT in this regard. Shelby and Nota4re most assuredly are.
I never said that the cars were not in great shape because they sat. Properly stored of COURSE they are in perfect condition. My statement runs to usage. Unless one views these cars merely as "garage art" never to be driven, why would one purchase a no mileage car at a premium? Once the car is driven it will necessarily go down in value.
Now if you want a 300K coffee table I say go for it. Probably an excellent investment.

15 million new vehicles are bought at a premium each year. All but a very few take a huge drop in value. And yet, the same people do it over and over.
There are people in every price bracket. To some, $300k is a disposable item. To others, it a mountain of an investment.
