I had trouble with the original battery very early on. The replacement battery has been fine as long as I drive the car once every two or three weeks. I generally drive it more than that. I have never used the factory battery tender, but if the car sits more than two weeks I will sometimes throw it on my shop charger for an hour or two.

2006. No trouble (yet). The car is either on the road or on a Ctek maintainer.

I voted 3 yrs because the car is 3 yrs old. Original battery still going strong. I usually drive it about every 10 days. I have accidentally left my valentine on and it has drained the battery completely twice. I put the supplied charger on overnight and it fires up immediately.

I use several BatteryMINDer Plus. You can use one on several cars and will actually rehab a "downer" battery. So far so good!

It appears we can only vote if our battery has died. Mine is from '05 & still ticking.

Mine stopped holding a charge for more than a week after only one year. Even though it is still in my GT after 3+ years, it is always hooked into a Battery Tender Jr. I think I'll try an Odyssey next time as I had good luck with one in my Lotus.

All my battery problems stopped when I junked the Optima and bought a standard discount store battery. No more gauge problems, no more flat batteries, the car can now go for weeks without draining the battery. It looses less than 1/2 volt in two weeks of sitting. I wrote a thread on this last year when I made the switch detailing the battery group number and any other needed information.
