Opinions on purchase sought

Pick condition over mileage, or a nice balance. Of your options, I'd take the middle one, if it is in great condition and you are planning on driving it.

If you want a garage queen, then you can buy a garage queen.

Just depends on your budget and how you plan to use and take care of it.

Check out the LeMans threads. If we win, demand will be up, price will be up, and a lot fewer owners will be willing to be separated from an automotive legend.

First off you are going to put more miles on it than you expect too. But using your 1000 miles per year as a starting point. If you held three years you are still not going to have the "miles" on it that the other examples you are talking about. Good luck when you try to get rid of it. There is not a more fun, better driving car out there 5 years later that is so easy to personalize and upgrade. :thumbsup

Finally, I got mine with a couple thousand miles on it and I am still pissed that I did not have her from new. I wish that all her miles were mine. :lol :cheers

Went to look at a white one today with the wife. I had previously shown her pictures and the response was "ugh". In person she really liked the car. And she (of course) found the passenger seat quite comfy.

She did ask where I put the golf clubs and children. :biggrin

Answer: On the plane.

My answer? F golf, and leave the wife, and take one kido.

Yeah not much help eh? You could always do what I did, get a 500 vert when you need to have a trunk and both kids.

Like many others have told you...forget the low miles and 3 year time frame. You will not want to just look at your FGT and no way will you dream of selling her in a fast 36 months.
I've got 17,000 on my 2005 that I've now owned 4 years and 2 weeks. She's just starting to get her legs.:driving:

Same here.
Agree 100%

White/Blue 2005 GT

I understand the mileage question, when purchasing a GT because I went through the same process before making my decision. I took delivery of a great condition white/blue 2005 on 3/31/2010 that had 8,000 miles. I purchased from Lamborghini of Houston. I have a black 2001 BMW Z8 that I purchased in March 2003 with just 200 miles, so the 8,000 on the GT was a bit more than I originally planned, but I only wanted a white car, the price was by my estimation very fair and included shipping, and the dealer made the purchase easy and delivered the car to me in NJ very quickly. I immediately brought the car into a Ford SVT dealer and did the most updated flange bolt fix (no record of the previous owner having it done), changed the battery, oil, fuel filter, and had them go over the entire car. Even the original tires still have 70% tread. When the car was first delivered the oil pressure gauge did not work and was replaced, and Lamborgini Houston agreed to pay me back for the gauge and installation. Like my Z8 (now 16,000 miles), I plan on keeping the GT for ever and am very happy with my purchase.
When I received the GT, I let a close friend drive it for a few minutes, and he fell in love and had to have one. He has a recent 911 Turbo. I helped him do a search, and he bought a 2005 White/Blue with only 1,120 miles from Shelby. Perfect car, bolts and all other service bulletins already done. Mine made 4/05, his 8/05. His 100% identical and to mine in every detail, except when you start the cars and look at the mileage display and about $23,000 difference in original purchase price. My friend is also very happy with his purchase. We both plan on driving and keeping our cars for ever, so the mileage question is very debateable and personal.
