CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Somelee was the "Iceman," sitting casually next to JONES and I at the dinner, we knew something was a brewing...He'd asked to glance at the auction list of items nonchalantly minutes before...

We could feel a sense of anticipation as 5406 went up on the block.

Congrats to the trio of new owners!!!

Speaking of a thousand words...

Who got digitally edited out of your second photo, with the GT in the track garage? :eek

congrats...

Congrats guys, I think you'll be pleased with the investment. Do any of you know the origin of the rather conspicuous 5406 number emblazoned on the front fascia?

The only 2004 Ford GT.

Congratulations gentlemen,

You may legitimately say that you own the only privately held 2004 Ford GT in existence. I saw that the other two cars auctioned off that night had 2005 serial numbers and only the black emissions test car had a 2004 serial number. Unless Ford ultimately sells the three Centennial cars, which I doubt, no one else will ever own a 2004 Ford GT. That's pretty cool!! :thumbsup :thumbsup :banana :cheers

So are you going to leave the shoe laces holding the front spoiler on?:lol

So are you going to leave the shoe laces holding the front spoiler on?:lol

The first attempt was to hold the front splitter in place was to remove some of the door trim double sided tape. Lasted maybe a mile. Lucky for Herman, another couple of GT's stopped by to see what the problem was. And someone (I'm not sure who) donated the $1.69 fix.

And I just remembered that I forgot to take a photo of the roadside Ford factory service crew hard at work. Damn I hate it when that happens.

Maybe the SVT Group can post a photo of this repair. It's one for this Forum.

Congratulations guys !! :thumbsup Joey it was great to see you again my friend. I was nice to meet Somlee & GTNJ !! Take care of her.. will you get that thing past 5 mph !!...:biggrin
