I bought a case of ten Mann HU925 filters from Eurofilters for $40 including shipping. The first filter I bought from Ford (FL-2024) was a repackaged Mann HU925 and cost $23 for one.:shrug

The parts guy may have looked up the plastic threaded cap and not the acutal filter. I priced one a while back and it was $ 300 +/ - some bucks?

I Initially ran in to the same problem. I thnk in the parts book it shows the filter with the cannister assembly.

Part number is 4G7Z-6731-AC

It is a Motorcraft FL-2024 filter. You can look for that - it just has the part number added on.

It is a lot cheaper on line as a Motorcraft than as a Ford part (list is $41.95).

Did not know it was a Mann filter, but now that I look at the actual filter, you are right. It shows "Mann Filter HU 925 / 4".

The only thing with buying the Mann and not the Motorcraft might be that the Motorcraft comes with a new o-ring and copper washer that, naturally, will fit the GT. (Now that I said that, I wonder if the Motorcraft will or only the Ford filter will have the parts).

The Mann filters come with both pieces, but you won't need the metal washer.

Couldn't help not looking around and found a case of 10, including O-rings, at the above link for 41.75.

Would anyone be interested in selling off a few out of their case of 10? I'd be a buyer for several...

or perhaps someone might like to split a case?

Talk to me...

I stock them for $ 19.99 each. Ford's catalog system is screwed up apparently and lists this incorrectly.

I keep these on hand always if anyone is interested.

Hey there,

The FL-2024 is the correct filter for your GT. The price you listed there is missing a period :) The right price (from ford - list) is $33.56.

Hope that helps some

If you order by the case from Eurofilter, make sure you specify the Mann brand only. When I ordered them they substituted a different brand, but were very nice and prompt in picking them up and shipping the Mann brand filters.

OK, I'm confused. Ran in to this before. Why is the list price on the stuff I have gotten from Ford different than the list price shown for some of the others? Isn't Ford list FORD LIST?

Am I getting hosed with a higher price? Because I am getting the parts from where I bought the car, I get 10 percent off, but I am still paying more than the $33.56 LIST ($41.95 minus $4.92). (No, I usually don't buy OEM, but have for a couple of the GT items).

????????????????????

Not sure why the difference in price - list should be list. Just looked it up again (to make sure I hadnt made a mistake - cause that has been known to happen - old age ya know) and it comes up at $33.56.

Might not be a wise move, I suggest a Ford, Motorcraft or the other brand mentioned above. All filters are not the same.
