Just installed Heffner exhaust. Awsome! Now sounds as it should have from the factory. Appears 50-60 lbs lighter as well! Power difference clearly noticeable. Thinking of lowering the car next. Any advice regarding this or power upgrade appreciated. Not planning to track the car. Enjoying on the street!!

Do the pulley tune. Again, how the car should have come from the factory. From Ford the car has enough power to get you in trouble anyways, but it doesn't rip through 1st. It's a ton a fun, and picks up a solid 7-8 mph in the quarter. If you aren't going to crazy and get adjustable shocks, lowering it still looks good. Alex from T&A (mr2race) sells lowering kits I believe.

If you need a pulley/tune, I still have a couple left :biggrin

Imo some very good recommendations on the Pulley&Tune, Lowering and Rear Bumper delete. You also bought one of the exhaust systems that is easiest to modify for the CDC delete kit. :thumbsup

What are the streets like in your area? Remember, the GT has a BUNCHA overhang to deal with when transitioning from one surface to another ...like driveway-to-street, etc. And then there's those stinking speed bumps. 'Most ALL of those are higher than the 3" or so of clearance you'd have 'under the chin' if you dropped your car that low...and the "chin" will say "hello" to the 'bump B4 the tires will.

I'll vouch for Alex's kit - I have installed several. The most common set-up I have done is 1" in the front and 3/4" in the rear. It will look like more. With more than 1" up front, I think that you may have too many scraping problems with driveways, etc.

I installed T/A's, 1 1/4 front and 7/8ths rear. I love the look, the ride is just a bit stiffer (no longer even notice it), don't scrape at all but I'm careful and do stay away from steep driveways and try to angle most dips. The only problem is I do scrape the Stillen splash guards on most all speed bumps. One of my favorite mods.:thumbsup
I lowered my Zo6 1" front and 3/4ers rear and the car scraped everywhere on most anything.:bored The overhang on the Vet is much worse IMO.

In the second thread in my post above the front spoiler is sitting 4.5" off the ground at the center.

The drop is not that much. So far no real issues with the lowering this way. The big gap up front is gone if you look at the comparison pic's in Thread #2 above. The rear is a tad lower but no scraping issues.

IMO the lower you go the more you will feel the ride change. You also get that much closer to the bump stops. 1.25" in front is about what I would say the resonable max is, for my steep driveway 1" is about the best I can do to avoid a scrape.

Steve is right, my Vet scraped without lowering anything. So I said WTF and slammed it, replacement spoilers are $38. It looks great. Can't drive it anywhere, so the only time it gets driven is on the trailer to the track, or to the track. Promised I would not do that to the GT. I am happy and never concerned to drive the car for fear of scraping. But after the vet I am still in the habit of looking for the low risk entry points.

Front spoliers are not that expensive. If concerned, buy a back up.
