I just finalized the drawings on a T.T intake im doing for the old Silver Accufab T.T car. Kinda giving it a facelift with a bunch of upgrades. Going to mount the innercooler right after the turbo's at the back of the car. Plus it will hide the inj. wiring inside the intake for a cleaner look. Also doing it this way were trying to get the longest runner out of the intake to get the most low end possible for 60-130 MEXICO racing:biggrin and motor will be a little bigger to. With the factory intake and the Wilson intake the runners are real short. We will also have some plenum volume which does not hurt either.

Should have a machined version in the next month or so.

Enjoy

Have you thought about including "FORD GT" logo into the top of the molds, as is done on the Ferrari's intakes?

Or at least "cooling" fins like the Valve Covers of Boss 302s or 429 SuperCobrajets?

No Copyright issues with just fins.

Cleaner looking design with the injectors on the inside. However that makes servicing a little more trouble.

Changed it "a little bit"????

Uh, this looks like a "melt and repour" of your first twin plenum design.

Why did you change the design to look like the normally asperated Boss 302 induction system?

Has an CART/IndyCar look to it. (turbo days) :biggrin

Less complexity (airflow/tuning) vs. twin design?

Hense the reason we changed it. I talked to Jason Heffner about it and Mihovetz, the short runners of the Factory Gt intake do nothing favorable for making low end power in these cars. Also I do not like turbo's so I am doing everything in my power, researching and using all my connections that I have to get something together that might have a chance of running well into the 3's for 60-130 stuff. This motor will be bigger than most, more compression and I would venture to say it will make 600-650Na power...This will help a bunch..It has motec, will be on E85 and most likely it will have the just newly released 67-66 precision turbo's which should support what I wanna make. I'm working with two different companies though, so its not set in stone yet. But the turbo size I am keeping small for the street scene stuff.

I think Mullet will agree after taking his blower off that its not as fast, unless he is now happy with it? The Gallardo's that run real well are just a v10 5.0liter motor, they have 67-65mm precision turbos and make between 1000rwhp on low boost and 1500-1600rwhp on hi boost. They are fast and and seem to have very little lag. There is NO reason a GT can't do the same.

So unfortunately im having to learn a bunch of stuff about turbo's LOL

Next spring, everything is showing up for it now. I gotta get turbo's ordered this week and gotta start getn the turbo system built for it. I'll have the spare motor put back together for it in two weeks, but i'm dynoing it first in my car with the Procharger on it as were put'n billet crank, cnc'd heads and some blower cams Mihovetz did for me back in 08 on it. Then I have all the stuff ready for the big bore motor and will need to get the REAL motor built for the car.

LOL YEA The intake runners needed to be much longer than they were and something just didn't feel right about it even though it looks cool, was going to be a pain in the ass to do air idle control motor on it where i was going to have to join the two together anyways. So we just said screw it and redesigned it.

I prefer the looks of the twin 'plenum' design by far...but, since the 2nd design only needs ONE t.b., has longer runners, and has better injector access (relatively speaking), 'looks' can take a back seat!

(Edit: Crap. 'Just read the posts on page 2 ['been going back & forth to the World Series game] and find what I said above had pretty much already BEEN said. Oooooookay...so be it. 'Back to the game!)

(Edit #2: 'Sure hope Texas starts fielding the ball and holding onto it sometime tonight...:frown)

Heard about the new Precisions a month or so ago. I might take a look at those. Aren't they suppose to have better low end?
