I was in the local Ford dealer this morning for service and to my surprise, they have a black/no stripe coupe with everything and a dark red/black stripe convertible on the showroom floor. If anyone has any interest, it's Auffenberg Ford, O'Fallon, IL.

Good!!! Like the rest of the cars in that class, the price will drop down once there are enough of them not selling - which is when I will pick one up! Right now, paying MSRP is just a waste of money to me.

They are already moving down from MSRP. I just put one in my garage 3 days ago

Dealers are never gonna dump 14 GT500s. You might save a couple grand, but if you really want one, its not worth waiting around, in my opinion.

Well...they said the same thing about the last gen Z06 Vettes...and I've always picked 'em up for way, way under MSRP after a year or two of production...and anyone could have if they shopped 'em. I got my Z06 in '08 for something around 17k under MSRP. Same thing with my Viper in the same year. I remember when the new Challenger came out in '08 or '09...and they were selling for way over MSRP, and when I shopped one at a dealer locally, they wanted 20k over list. I laughed and walked out. I think "good luck with that" was what I said to them. I bought a Z06 stateside the next day for a bit more - and a week after I got it, the Dodge dealer called me to ask me if I was still interested in the Challenger. I said "not at those prices". They came back at me with a price of 5K under MSRP a few minutes later. My response was "good luck with that" and laughed again. They can't give 'em away. Even Ford isn't immune to market demand, or lack of...just takes a bit of time. When the new C7 hits the market for 56k shortly, I think the GT500's will slow down somewhat and you will see inventory on the floor. In fact, I'd bet on it!

Totally different situations. You're talking about cars which have been produced on an ongoing basis, which is not the case with GT500. This variety of Mustang ends here.

Here in Canada, no moe orders are filled and the orders in cannot be changed. Dealer trades are becoming fewer. This is the end. I wasn't willing to wait any longer and traded our IE 392 challenger for the last year of the gt500

I wanted to trade in my 2011 for a 2013 but 1) the salesman at my local dealership sucks and 2) I don't want to get rid of my '11 because I have a signed Carroll Shelby plaque on the console. Dumb I know but it means something to me.

Now the IRS version may change my mind...LOL

Dealers are always a crap shoot with GT500s. My Dad just bought a '14 and the first dealer he went to offered him the smoking deal of $10k over sticker. They called him back to lower that to $8k over sticker. Eventually he found a dealer on the other side of town that ordered him a car closer to invoice and it only took a couple months to get it. Your best bet is to shop national. Shipping a car a couple hundred miles is worth it most of the time if your local dealer is high on crack price-wise.

Know of two new '14 GT500's for sale. Blue convertible and sterling grey coupe. Both at or slightly below MSRP but who knows what offer they would take.
PM if interested.

Ive been thinking about getting a shelby for some time now, but cant justify the deprecation on a car that is basically going to sit in my garage. I rather buy another gt and let it sit in the garage.

The problem with this kid was he simply wouldn't call me back. He's a nice guy, just not attentive. When I bought the GT I took it to that dealer to get the oil changed and a few other minor things. He came out to the service drive to look at it and was surprised to see me standing next to it. I said to him, "Thanks for not calling me back on that 2013 GT500 I was going to order because I bought this instead!" His lip quivered a bit and I could have sworn I saw F F F F F F F trying to roll off...

Haaaaaaaaaaa. :rofl:rofl:rofl

I would like to get the Dark blue to sit next to the GT but waiting for the right deal.

The '13/'14 GT500s are the ones to have and keep. They are the end of an era. The drag racers and hard core Mustang fanatics will never be happy with the new IRS and Euro styling. They will always want the baddest of the solid axle cars. Anyone familiar with Mustangs knows that Mustang owners, like Corvette owners, like to endlessly divide themselves into different camps (Classic, Fox body, New Edge, SN197, etc.). Simply put, the '13/'14 GT500 is, and will be, the best traditional Mustang ever built. If I had space, I would get a '14 for sure, with a glass roof. To those who complain the car is too expensive for a Mustang, I would say Ford went all out with the drivetrain and put the development money where it counted. The motor alone is worth $25k. I will wager that a '14 GT500 will be worth more than a '13 ZR1 in 10-15 years.

I just bought a new '13 GT500 Convertible. Grabber Blue/ White Stripes. Let's hope it's fun to drive. I've never driven one.
Almost got a '13 ZR-1 instead, but my 8 year old won the bet.

I have had my '14 for a week now and really like it. You won't be disappointed.

Like Dave said "if the recipe is right for you" I wouldn't wait much longer.

Ordered this 2014 - 4K under sticker, deals are out there.

I know pricing is different in Canada for most products. What was the MSRP?

Sinovac, don't be so week in the knees. Just put another hoist in the Garage Mah-Hall and get your self a 2014. You know you want one.
