DBK, I think you said the NFGT had to be delivered no later than November to keep the Lemans win. So, who got one?

Would love to hear what color choices the top Ford executives will be choosing.

It's a mix of everything.

FIA waived the production requirement, so no effect, but deliveries will begin later this month.

Its likely the same yellow "show" car that was 1st shown at Sema 2015.

I thought my memory was correct about it being a requirement.

Awesome news. Can you tell us the name of a few who are getting one of these first cars? Enquiring Minds must know. Maybe you can get permission from a few. I realize you may not want to reveal them all.

A couple weeks ago. FIA technical delegate Denis Chevrier told Sportscar365 they “knew it from the beginning” that Ford would not meet the requirement, which I think was pretty clear from the beginning if you were capable of reading between the lines. I've seen quite a bit of whingeing over GT and the 911 RSR reconfiguration from Ferrari fans. The ACO granted the GT homologation timing waiver with the consent of the other participating manufacturers, so it's a moot point.

Hopefully soon but you can imagine that the very earliest cars will be company officers, and the gent with his name on the car that has 2005 #0001 will also have 2017 #0001.

Bill Ford will get #1. I heard Awsum GT will be getting #2 :bs:frown

I heard they are having trouble with the red paint so everyone that wanted red should look for other colors...:biggrin

You can still be different. Order the red with orange stripes and interior.

Galpin Ford outside of Los Angeles will get #3. They get #3 of every performance Ford for their collection. It pays to be the biggest Ford dealer in the world...

#0003 or the 3rd one offered to the public?

Well makes prefect sense that a rule is only meant to be broken, and is as consistent as the BoP.

As of course I want Ford to win every race, I do get, and agree the BoP is needed. If there isnt, you will get seasons like Trans Am in 1997 (Tommy Kendall won all but 2 races), and every manufacturer will RUN.

But on a serious note, that is good news.

The car with #003. I suppose it may not be the 3rd one produced, but they always get the car that says #003.

I'll be happy with #66:wink
