I know we have some pilots on this board. Thought I'd post these shots of my new bird. I took delivery last week. I made a couple low passes after departure from the factory and the Cessna photographer shot these photos.

What a ride. Almost as much fun as a GT...almost...

Man, you get all the best toys :lol

Needed a bigger one?

Nice

Chris,
Nice Sky Ride !
Enjoy It.
:cheers

Looks good Chris, Is that a 2 or are you up to the 3 now?
Sometime I would like to discuss the insurance problems with those birds. And how we can manage the risk. That plane has great colors and I know it's sweet inside. Is my 525 type rating good for that also?

I'll be looking for it on the ramp at sema.

Nah, not any bigger. Just more powerful engines and upgraded avionics in the same airframe. Just like cars, you can never have too much HP!

It is a CJ2+ which is basically a CJ2 with CJ3 engines and avionics. It climbs better and cruises at the same speeds on less Jet-A than the CJ3. I have no need for the 3's longer cabin.

Yes, your 525 type is good for the 2+ and the 3. Probably just need the four day differences course at Flight Safety for insurance.

I'd be happy to discuss insurance with you. Just PM me when you'd like to chat.

Yes, it is on the ramp at SEMA, but parked at VGT not LAS.

Here's the interior shots

Hey, I don't see any lifevests under the seats. What gives? Can't fly over water?

Bird

Chris,

Congratulations! Great bird. Only thing missing are GT stripes over the nose! If you want some time in it, run up to John's Island Executive Airport (http://www.airnav.com/airport/KJZI/MERCURY_) it's only a few minutes from the house. I'll pick you up and buy breakfast, lunch...or dinner. :wink

Gordo.

Actually if you look close you'll see a little red dot on panels on the base of the seats. The life vests are stored in behind those removable panels.

Gordo-

Sounds like a great idea. I'm always looking for an excuse to burn kerosene. I'll take you up on the meal offer one of these fair weather weekends.

Thanks, -Chris

congratulations, great painting.
Whenever you plan a trip to Europe it would be a honour to be your co-pilot.

Snap roll on takeoff!

Chris,

Stunning! When I grow up I want to have a plane like that. Hope to see it on a ramp somewhere. Enjoy! :cheers
