dude you own a plane?

Yes he does. If nothing else, that should give you passion to strive forward. Owning a plane (especially one of that caliber) is a real testament to ones success.

My last bike was a 1200RS. Great machine. :thumbsup

I had a K1200RS also. Sweet engine. My favorite was the new K1200S, like a combination of the power of the K12RS combined with the handling of the R11S. I test rode for BMW at Nurburgring, when they first came out. 44 lovely laps at 155 mph+ on the straights...(#159) Loved it. Getting too old for that stuff though...

Wow- You ran The Ring on new BMWs? Sweet gig! :thumbsup What kind of times did you run?

I've never been on a K1200S. The dealership here in Boca Raton closed down and I haven't had a chance to get to another dealer for a test ride. Hope to ride one someday.

I hear you on the "getting to old for that stuff"...

I know we have some pilots on this board. Thought I'd post these shots of my new bird. I took delivery last week. I made a couple low passes after departure from the factory and the Cessna photographer shot these photos.

What a ride. Almost as much fun as a GT...almost...

Congratulations, Chris. That is absolutely phenomenal.

We were not supposed to time the laps, nor were we timed from what I know of.

It was testing for the feel and experience.

Of course there were videos and photographers.

All I know is, when I was travelling at approximately 155 mph on the long straight, a couple european riders passed me.

Until now, I hadn't realized GT's were Mopeds!

Sorry for the late response to this post that is several months old, but I have had two K1200S's. The first was an early-release blue-white 2005, but it had lots of electrical problems, so BMW bought it back from me. I now have a 2006, revised electronics, and added the ESA. I absolutely love it. With a dozen superbikes in the collection, this is a bike that is super fast and very practical, even for long-distance touring. If you ever want to fly up to see me, you are welcome to ride it.

Just out of curiousity, what's Vne on your feathered friend?:shrug

I've now been lucky enough to be a guest on Chris' jet. What a plane! Francesca may have permanently dented the leather because she's not a great flier, but otherwise, smooth, fast, ultimate convenience. And it's got a great paint job.

'Air Wheeler'

Is it available in Heritage?? Someone can PhotoShop it. Man, that would be over the top!:biggrin

Vne is the same as Vmo, mach .74. The engines have enough thrust to exceed Vne in level flight.

Now that would be waaaay cool. Maybe next bird...
