Hate those long "weights".

Haha

Good luck when it arrives......This time, never let it go.

Reliable came through for Paul really swiftly, and as you guys would expect, the Reliable trailer and driver Bobby were all just top-shelf. Beautiful sunny and 50s today to fire up this heart-throbbing car for the last time, and bid Adieu. Glad she couldn't be going to any better of a home.🙂

Joey, you have read my mind, and in fact a hacksaw or similar will be involved in my first mod.

I just bought a spare diffuser assembly.....

...and plan to shorten and reshape the diffuser blades so they don’t project beyond the body and instead complement the rear curve of the car. Not circular like a 430, probably just slightly angled and rounded like a 360 Stradale or SLR. I know this will reduce the downforce, but since I won’t be driving at 200mph, I think I’ll be ok.

Of course I’ll keep the original diffuser, uh, original.

Congrats!

Punch, Its very complicated...:)….Just take 120 grit sandpaper and round out the corners.....Krylon semi flat black in the can matches perfect.
I really didn't need to sand much because the curbs in New York CRUSHED them...….
Testing back in the day...the rear diffuser is all show until you hit 135 mph. So Enjoy the ride!
That black car was Lee's one of the first bumper deletes at the BARN 1 !
Borla exhaust , whipple supercharger and lowered a bit.

Congrats.

I would never mess with the rear diffuser. The aero engineers put a lot into the rear diffuser's effectiveness

Paul, might that be your dear wife giving the car her first good once-over? :)

Indeed it is. She also remembers the last GT so it's not a shock.

We were engaged 3 weeks after we met in 1982- married a few months later, still married 37+ years later!
