Ok guys so here is the news. When timmy was born back in Jan. My parents came out to see us in Feb. It was my dads 1st time in the GT, seeing a GT and driving a GT. So, I go and tell him about the Ronald McDonald give away and tell him I'll donate $250 and he should donate $250 and we'll see if he can get the GT. Well, the drawing was today @ 9pm our time and 11pm his time, he got the call as the winner of the FORD GT. Father and son, mine is white w/blue and all options and his is red w/white and all options but the bbs I believe.

He forgot to buy them back in Feb. and when I was out there after the Detroit Rally he still hadn't bought them. So, Thursday, 2 days before the drawing he purchased 'em. He hasn't even received the stubs from the purchased tickets. The call came in and he's doing the paper work on Monday. He should be posted on the internet by tomorrow.

Please e-mail him and tell him not to take the money and to get that car ASAP.

[email protected]

Welcome him to the group as he now has our Forum address. He is a ford guy. He owned a '69 boss 302 that he use to drag in Wisconsin back in the early 70's. Was a crew cheif for a friend racing the hydroplane (boats) and is a self made man and car nut. You guys might remember an earlier post about how I explained that it made my dad giggle to drive my GT.

Anyways I thought you guys might like that story. To know we have another one in our family (the forum family that is) as well as in my new family.

OH MY GOD :lol

Best $250 ever spent. Congratulations!

BONY ATTENTION BONY. We have to pick the car up in Fresno. Thought maybe we would have you check it out when the time comes b-4 we come out and get it. You know... all the bells and whistles and to make sure everything is there. Cover, book, the whole kit and cabootle. Let me know :cheers :biggrin :cheers

I am truly sorry about your tickets... seriously.. I know I benifit from my dads win and it is great to have a 2nd in the family but by no means would I not have wanted a spectator from this forum to not win. They win all the time for some reason. They won a jetski 2 summers ago and for sh_ts and giggles 3 years ago they won a polarisXC 600. That's a snowmobile. My family is a big snowmobile family and big on polaris as it is an american made sled. We have family trips and guy only trips if you know what I mean throughout the winter... Anyways, sorry about your tickets :frown

Tim tell dad congrats
lucky guy :cheers

Todd, thanks, I'll tell him.

I'll know more on monday when he finalizes paper work. He still has to pay taxes and such. I believe the website stated between 29-38K. Also stated if you couldn't pay that they would buy you out and pay cash to the winner of $75K, can you believe that? Oh, well, dad can aford it. He said it makes up for damaging his prop when I was in town back in Aug. Also, I now have the privilege of beating on my moms Audi and showing her its potential :rofl

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiimy's Grandpa

Dear Little Timmy,
now you have two GT to warm your buns on.

Congrats to Your Grandpa. COOL CAR FOR A COOL FAMILY.

Make him get a child seat, so your Mom and Dad can send you for a visit.

Let's see some 3 generation pic's soon.

Jeff

OK, then that would be a "no" for me winning.

Seriously, I cannot imagine a greater experience than the two of you having a GT; this will be an incredible period for you both.

That is one exciting, and definitely publishable, story.

Thats cool...at least someone from the forum won it.

I hope your dad was already in the top tax bracket :lol

Wow! This is great. We all buy tickets hoping to win and never do - yet alone find out who the winner is.

Congrats to your Dad. Sounds like another "raised" midwesterner but Tim come on..

C'mon now... we're 2-0 and hopefully 3-0 after today.

I was wondering what the odds were that someone who wins already has a family member who has one. I believe they told him that Ronald McDonald house paid $217K off of e-bay sometime last year for it. They sold roughly a little over 1.2 million tickets and donated a little over 1 million dollars to RMH charity. Bad math says that he had about a 1 in 5000 chance of winning because he had 240 of those 1.2 million tickets. Also his return on a $200 investment on an MSRP of $156K is a 780% return right? Hope so.

Ok one more time "GO BEARS" and "GO MARK MARTIN"!!!! :cheers

I agree. I tried to get them to enter the DYI 2006 home giveaway. Didn't happen. Lottery is a great Idea. We could actually start our own pool here on this forum.

It was a new years resolution this year to enter what I thought were good Auction/Raffle/charity this year and it ended up paying off for pops :thumbsup

Are those white walls on your GT. The rims look nice. mind posting a pic?
