C'mon now... we're 2-0 and hopefully 3-0 after today.

Come on Tim, a win over the Lions is worth like 1/4, 1/3 of a win at best. :rolleyes

Minnesota is no joke. They played addition by subtraction in the offseason and it paid off. I still think your boys will beat em, and they look like a Super Bowl team to me early in the season...

don't jinx me. Also on a different note. I'm sending you a life time member for all the extra perks.. $500 right? Is that a month :rofl

BONY ATTENTION BONY. We have to pick the car up in Fresno. Thought maybe we would have you check it out when the time comes b-4 we come out and get it. You know... all the bells and whistles and to make sure everything is there. Cover, book, the whole kit and cabootle. Let me know :cheers :biggrin :cheers

Hot Dawg... congrats, I am at your service!! Craig Hansen is the guy that runs the raffle. I know Craig quite well. I expect you will get everything in perfect order. I sent the following email to your dad and copied Craig:

Greetings,

I am a member of the FORD GT FORUM and have enjoyed your son's company. Congrats on winning the Ford GT. I know Craig Hansen who run the event. I live in Fresno. I am more than willing to help in any way with any logistics. When you come to Fresno to take delivery lets have a celebratory lunch or dinner. Any we are very happy for you.

Hopefully you will keep the car, can you imagine a father, son and grandson all enjoying their GT's. What could be better than three generations bonding?

God Bless America,

I just knew it!!!!! I knew it.

And Bony, thanks for sending Dad and e-mail. The irony also is that they are building their new retirement/lake home on a lake in Wisconsin. Mom will probably retire professionally in a couple of years and Dad is just a work a-holic. Not sure if he will ever... he'd have to sell the company and I'm not sure he could do that.

None the less you guys... he is STOKED..So is my little sister and her fiance :ack . He is a genuine FORD guy too. Use to be a mechanic at a local dealer in Chicago. Let him drive my GT when he was out here and was speechless

Congrats Stunts. I was there last night win they drew the ticket and made the phone call. I wished your dad would have been home. I would have liked to hear his reaction. Your car is #1308. I drove car #1375 to the event last night for a friend hoping for the right kharma. Looks like it went to a great home. I talked to Craig Hansen and they did pay $217000 a year ago in June. You guys have fun! TI :cheers

Congrats. Keep the car!

What was the winning ticket #? I am really curious, as I bought 240 tickets the day before.

Congratulations!!!

That is truly incredible.

Enjoy!!!

tickets

Every time your dad buys a ticket from now on...let us know so we buy the same numbers !!! hehehe

That is simply awesome Tim!! I just saw an ad for that drawing yesterday and I remember thinking "I wonder if the winner has been picked yet?" So cool to actually know who won (or at least know someone who knows someone...).

Seems to have gone to the right person from your description of your dad. Major Congrats!!!

Congratulations to your dad. I also entered the contest and even though I didn't win, it was for a great cause. I'll just have to keep savings and get a GT the old fashion way - buy it !!! :cheers

Tim,

Congrats to your dad!!!! Awesome news. Amazing story. Movie of the week?

On a different note. I have to tell you about one of the most popular songs up here in the Frozen Tundra.

The Bears Still Suck
The Bears Still Suck

It goes on and on but I think you get the point. That should help DBK's jinx on you...

See you in Vegas

Well there goes $125 bucks!

Just kidding -- glad to hear it went to one of us.

For the price of taxes on $175K in income thats not a bad deal!

Cara raffle for good causes are pretty much the best way to donate.

I think the taxes are around $38,000 (25% of $154,000 value minus the cost of the tickets); it was all in the contest guidelines. Still a great deal.

I agree. I tried to get them to enter the DYI 2006 home giveaway. Didn't happen. Lottery is a great Idea. We could actually start our own pool here on this forum.

It was a new years resolution this year to enter what I thought were good Auction/Raffle/charity this year and it ended up paying off for pops :thumbsup

Are those white walls on your GT. The rims look nice. mind posting a pic?

Tim

Nah, that's just a chop of my car with the stock rims black with silver lips. I thought it was cool so I made it my avatar. Mine are still silver.
