Michael Schumacher in critical condition

Thanks for the link Ron. The video below was posted by someone commenting on the article. Amazing how stiff the chassis is on the Ferrari.

There are a lot of reports circulating on internet, Sky News, Grenoble surgeons etc. Bottom line is this is serious injury, he was traveling in excess of 50+ MPH, has had two brain decompressions and clot removal. He will be in an induced coma for a while longer, no one knows what his function will be like for some time to come.

I just got a blast email from Fox/Speed, and one of the stores is the sale of Schumacher's Ferrari F300 race car:

Wow, just wow. It has a reserve. I wonder what it will go for?

Not sure I would have chosen Barrett-Jackson to sell that car.

Engine specs are incredible-805 hp at 17,500 rpm from a 3 liter V-10.

Why are they calling it Schumacher's car? I thought it was (and is) Ferrari's car. Whose car is it???

805 hp at 17,500. I can't even comprehend how parts can reciprocate that fast. Probably wouldn't handle Pinellas County traffic too well, Paul.

I sat in this one!

Looks a bit to me like you didn´t really fit in the cockpit huh? :biggrin:rofl

But be sure to forward this pic to BJ .... it might make the car worth an extra 10K or so :wink

If Ron didnt fit in the car, I think my getting in it is out of the question :)

I could not get in due to the fact the steering wheel was locked in.The steering wheel is worth some ungodly amount of money!

Ex-Ferrari Scuderia Manager Jean Todt visited Michael Schumacher in the racer’s Swiss mansion this past week.

He reported that although Schumacher’s time behind a wheel has most likely ended, the seven time world champion can expect ‘a relatively normal life’ in the near future.

‘We must assume that Schumacher can lead a relatively normal life again within a short period of time,’ Jean Todt said.

Met him signing autographs around marina night before 2006 Monaco GP

Great news that he can enjoy retirement

Given the substance of the article, that is a strange assessment for him to make.

yeah immobile and not talking..

I think its the being consious aspect

Unfortunately that article and others, apparently, misquote Jean Todt - this is how it was amended in another paper:

This article was amended on 8 October 2014. The headline and text originally said that Jean Todt believed Michael Schumacher could lead a “relatively normal life again”. In fact, Todt said that he “hoped” that Schumacher would make a recovery.

That makes more sense Malcolm. Very sad nevertheless. At least he has the resources to get the care he needs at home.

On a more positive note, I'm looking forward to your visit.

Me too, also if you are still considering Le Mans 2015 you need to let me know soon. We have almost 50 people in the group next year and I will struggle to get more tickets,

Sent you a pm.
