With a curious mind and some custom heat protection for rear, I thought a little drive to experience some full audio rawness of what the GT can sound like with no exhaust should would be worth the effort.

It was....
Didn't get to rip up through all the gears but the sound was Big Bang loud..... mega deep, powerful, loud and mind bending is how id tag the sound it makes.
Only a couple of short clips but I would like to do a 1-3rd gear punch for full effect.

I still remember the 1st time experiencing long tubes, and the Borla off road "muffler". I was next to a Ralphie at the 1st rally, it hurt, I had to roll up the window.

You must have gotten some looks, not only because loud, but also looks like you are driving with out the clamshell.

Just saw and realized who you are. If I’m right, I watched you at the Greenbrier when you shot 59. My son labored on the mini tour several years . Great video, BTW.

Sounds a lot like the Ford Performance long tube header, non street legal system. It may be a little deeper tone in the lower rpm range.

Can't get enough of it, ears and neighbors be damned!

Sounds great Stuart ! Now we need a 1/4 mile blast please.

Last year for the Byron Nelson on the links course. Hopefully moving to one of the 2 PGA of America courses north of Dallas in Frisco. Come on back !

Watch the video again. You totally missed it. When he said "Damn"...... that was his own form of a "shit eating grin" :D . I believe Stuart has his own style of smiling as shown in the video.

Got the Accufab on now and its way quieter now but way louder the factory. maybe it need stacks through the clam shell like a diesel truck for mega effect/sound?
Sort of wish/wonder what a 4" pipe would be like for sound depth and especially looks, as the exit section could eat that size and look more meaty then the skinny 3"

Wonder how stacks would have worked out. Point the sound of the GT to the heavens and say "Thanks big fella for the sound you created in the GT, thought I'd just point some of its your way and let you know how good it still is"

Takes me back to 1968, when I put dumps on my 66 Skylark Gran Sport. It was very loud ! I was blasting down a road in a caravan to a high school game, and my parents and best friends were looking at a lot right up against this road. As I came by, my dad said " I think that was Phil's car?" The friend, also a car mentor of mine, said " oh no, that wasn't phil's car ". He was golden in my book from there on. He was in advertising, and one of his clients was Amalie PRO RACING OIL. He took me out to Green Valley Raceway in 1968 where I saw Dan Gurney beat Parnelli Jones by milliseconds, both driving Team Cougar's.

I've added a 50c "post cooling efficiency protocol program" since I got the new exhaust.

Nice way to heat your garage if need be.

Good struts will hold your hood up like that?

Good (new) struts will open the clamshell fully upon release from the latches. His rope is holding it down to a middle position.

I did drive around with the shell pulling up on its security latches once, maybe not a bad idea on real hot days?

I have new struts, so it all works normal.

I didn't want them fully extended out, so did this set up (it may not matter/hurt struts if it was all the way up when cooling)

The ropes only got a few lb of lift force on it at most.
