Lack Performance on the bottom end?

:rofl:rofl Wait till Kendall makes a counterclaim for the willful damage caused.

But it seems to me there's consideration, an offer, and if Kendall accepts, well there's a contract. No lawyers needed, unless you want to have some negotiation skills for the little things like how MUCH alcohol is to be imbibed.

Personally, I'd leave that to the Rally and a bunch of Maker's Marks......:cheers

If I can establish that he purposely left those dastardly reading glasses under my throttle pedal I should be able to prove neglect or willful damage caused by Kendall as stated by his partner in crime TugBoat

“I thought that Kendall, being a professional, had devised a new system to keep a GT newbie from over using the full abilities of the car. Thus, it will soon be on his web site as a safety feature available to all new owners.”

Maker's Marks would be wonderful! Man, I like how you guys roll.

An no I am not a Attorney, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night!

Thanks for the update on finding the "governor". It really made my day to find the remedy!! Have fun :)

run them over then mail them back in a little bity box.

:lol Hey this turned out to be a funny read. Thanks for the detective story with a Happy Ending. (Not that kind!)

OK - Happy Feet is Happy once again but inquiring minds want to know how many cars did Kendall work on without his glasses...

If he couldn't see - Sam might have slipped his "personal stashed" BMW in there for a oil change. :rofl

Having read Happy Feet's happy discovery earlier today, I decided to do my rolling test about 10 mins ago. First confirming I didn't have any mysterious glasses wedged under my gas pedal, I took the GT down the hill and found a secluded wide road. Rolling the car at 20mph in 1st gear, floored the gas.... Viola! The car was basically stationary, but the back wheels were busy spinning! Test #2, same result, now I found a grind on my face. :banana I guess my past attempts didn't result in spinning the wheels were because most descriptions I read before lead me to believe just jamming the foot on the gas pedal would cause the spin without actually flooring the pedal, so I never actually floored the pedal.

No wheel spin in 2nd gear, though. I was rolling at 30mph in 2nd, and floored the gas pedal, the car accelerated like mad, but no wheel spin. Maybe, this weekend I'll try the 2nd gear again, but will load the track-tune and see what happens.

Nonetheless, a big grind on my face coming home, now I know I'm not "leaving any money on the table" from the pulley & tune. Not as juicy as Happy Feet's story, but I'm happy now, nonetheless.:cheers

It's funny Ed, I was going to suggest that you're probably 'driving' the car more and thus not 'mashing' the pedal to the floor. If you want the freewheel spin, you've got to damn the torpedoes and mash it!!! Glad to hear that she's ready to thrill. :thumbsup

I drove down to Southern California yesterday. I have never had wheelspin with the power upgrades I have installed on my gal - should be about 610 rwhp. Stepped on the "go" pedal today, and immediatly got off it (to save my rear tires (new) for the Texas World Speedway and Texas Mile).

Wow!

I guess the Oxygen level at 8,000 ft keeps me from wearing out tires at less than 10,000 miles. :biggrin

Got your email and I will give you a call. My Red GT is at Kendall's and I'm thinking of a meeting place somewhere in Pasadena on the way back. I'll need to find out when Kendall will be done with her first.

An alternative is to meet you in Pasadena and ride with you to Kendall's and then cruise back together.

Would you guys like to go to Supercar Sunday this coming weekend? I'm free and can help burn some rubber.

I launched the car one time at a drag strip with good trackion surface during a Fun Ford weekend event while still had the pulley only, and it was the first time I pushed the car hard so I launched it at about 3500 RPM and let the clutch out medium speed (no dumping at all) and it smoked the tires all the way to second gear.

Here's a video of me launching the car (pulley and tune only) around 2K RPM at Ralley 07, and I had to feather the throttle to not get too much wheel spin after launch. Was never able to put the pedal to the metal until after the last turn before finish. That was with the Goodyears.

You know what guys? I missed the post about Kendall's glasses, only caught it now. My bad. But those do look like what Kendall wore. How funny.
