Lack Performance on the bottom end?

Check and see nothing is obstructing the the throttle cable, throttle body, Gas Peddle or that there's no gum on the bottom of your shoe...

does the Ford GT have a boost bypass valve like the ford lightning? if so i think you are dumping boost

I'm happy to report that Happy Feet's "problem" has been solved. here's the story.... and I'm stickin' to it.

While Happy Feet's car was recently receiving some nice upgrades including a Heffner pulley, tune, and exhaust, a pair of eyeglasses were noticed to be in the car resting comfortably on DBK's convenient rubber console pad. Somewhere between loading the GT, transporting it, and unloading it, said eyeglasses leaped from their resting place in favor of a position on the floor immediately below the throttle pedal. Once discovered and removed... the car's tire shredding capabilities were immediately restored.

A very happy ending. Now, Happy Feet was reluctant to post the outcome out of fear that he could possibly embarrass the owner of the glasses who had recently tuned, upgraded and transported his GT back to him. I've agreed to keep his secret.

Sorry for any typos... these new glasses are not as good as some older ones I used to have.

Hahaha. Almost as bad as hitting your head on the door while getting out in front of a bunch of swimsuit models.

If that isn't THEE iron clad proof that Murphy is alive & well, I challenge anyone to provide and example more convincing.

That is a riot! Something sure seemed to be amiss by Happy Feet's description of power delivery. Very funny and happy ending.

I have never laugh so much. I was getting pissed off with the inconsistent performance. Drove it in the morning fine, jump in the car at night not fine. Well, yesterday morning I feel crunching under my feet, so I pulled over and got my fat ass under the dash to take a look! An I found a pair of jack up reading glasses to funny! Hey Kendall do you want these back? I been thinking of putting them in a trophy case an sending them your way.. It is all good, she able to break tire in 1st rolling, have not push her in 2nd yet.

First thing to check for any performance problem.

What do you think it might be then?

I think it might be a pair of eye glasses under the gas pedal.

Now THAT's a story worthy of a very long litany of repetition and laughs. I'm gonna tell it to everyone I know!!! :thumbsup:lol:rofl
:cheers

And as an aside, it might be worth sticking a BIG BLOCK OF WOOD behind the gas pedal for when I've got to take it to the dealer.........:wink

It's a good thing Kendall doesn't have any removable body parts. You might not have been able to go over 15 mph.

I am with Chip!!!

Pair of reading glasses under pedal was my 2nd thought.

Larry

Now I have to go check my floorboard for glasses! I have probably 20 pairs of readers and they are NEVER where I need them. Oh except the time I was looking everywhere for hours and they were on top of my head!!!:rofl:rofl

A SCT datalog would have found that! The throttle position counts would have been too low! Everyone that has a pulley and tune should have a SCT X2, X3, or Livewire. These can be connected to the OBDII port. Then running Live View (download from www.sctflash.com) you can display a lot of stuff that would help you diagnose any problems you are having.

This is all fun and good however I think Happy Feet owes Kendal a pair of glasses. They looked like expensive ones as well!

I thought that Kendall, being a professional, had devised a new system to keep a GT newbie from over using the full abilities of the car. Thus, it will soon be on his web site as a safety feature available to all new owners. :rofl

Larry

There will be a GT tax associated.

Damn it.... the cat's out of the bag. Not just new owners, but anyone taking their car in for service.

As for pricing.... WindowSavers are 4 or 5% of what a window would cost (cheap insurance) so I think CarSavers should also adhere to this modest 4-5% (cheap insurance) rule! Lemme see.... $165K x 4% = $6600. Maybe an intro special of half off.... x 4,000 cars

...and up through the ground came a bubblin' crude.
Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.
Well the first thing you know ol' Kendall's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said Kendall move away from there
Said Californy is the place you ought to be
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly.

Yee haw!

I think it’s a wash, because I should be entitled for my pain and suffering, and mental anguish. I should be compensated some sort of monetary payment in the form of alcohol!

Happy Feet :cheers

Kendall,

Looking for any investors?:confused

:rofl:rofl Wait till Kendall makes a counterclaim for the willful damage caused.

But it seems to me there's consideration, an offer, and if Kendall accepts, well there's a contract. No lawyers needed, unless you want to have some negotiation skills for the little things like how MUCH alcohol is to be imbibed.

Personally, I'd leave that to the Rally and a bunch of Maker's Marks......:cheers
