The JOYRIDE GT is undergoing a major "makeover" at the moment. A part of the make over and improvements are several carbon fiber parts. :thumbsup

Below are pics of "Round 1" which is what the GT has installed as of last Friday. (And I've yet to see the car in person!)

Round 1: Side Scoops and Rear Window Surround
I saw the pics of the side scoops while in development and was thoroughly impressed. They look even better in person from what I hear. But I was blown away with the pics of the rear window surround. Fantastic job IMO.

Round 2: Aero kit - Front Splitter, Rear Diffuser and Side Skirts
The front splitter is in development as I write. It is not 100% OEM and will be slightly larger - but not overbearing. The plan for the rear diffuser is the same - slightly longer, but not much. Goal is to have these installed for Rally V.

Round 3: Carbon Fiber "Lungs"
I don't want to comment too much on this piece. There's work already being done on it. But much research and testing will be needed prior to completion. The goal is Rally V for track testing.

*Please disregard the visible "road rash" in the black paint. Unfortunately, this occurred during Battle of the Supercars filming. The car is being "wrapped" and will remain that way for some time. Then we will take her back to her original, all black beautiful state.

Lungs, intriguing. CF air box?

IMO the CF exterior pieces look best on a black FGT!

Could you post prices on the parts listed?

Thanks :cheers

ObeyMyFast...all in due time.

1. I don't have that information yet.
2. Tecnocraft is not currently a forum sponsor and is trying to be sensitive to the other paying/sponsoring vendors on this forum.

Aren't the scoop & surround pieces from Kip?

Wow, when a black car is really clean... just wow.

Sick!

No. Kip is a great, unique individual. But the parts on my GT are from another manufacturer - whom is new to the GT. Not new to incredible CF design and mass production.

There was another thread started where I explained a bit more about my initial request to Tecnocraft, because of their work with designing new, improved "lungs" for the Gallardo and many other hot, fast cars.

She is looking nice ........ now in another week she will be OMG

Takes care

The guys at Technosquare do some terrific work! We have a few of their parts on our GT R and I can't wait to see what they come up with for the Ford GT. Not only is their dry carbon fiber some of the best I've ever seen, it is incredibly durable! The hood on our GT R only weighs 7 pounds!!! You would think something this thin and light would also be pretty fragile but Steve put the hood to the test in New Zealand a few weeks ago during a photo shoot.

On the GT R we use a pair of hood pins rather than the factory latch and striker. During the photoshoot Steve released the hood to clean the engine bay. We also don't have a prop rod for the hood so he walked back to the street car to get the pole that we use to support the hood. While he was walking along he saw one of his friends and started chatting and got side tracked. Then the photographer told him they would be shooting the photos at the end of the airport runway and asked that Steve drive the car down when he was ready. He finished up the conversation with his friend and jumped back in the car, forgetting that the hood was unlatched. Well, a short trip down the runway and WHACK! The hood flew up and smashed into the windshield completely destroying the windshield, bending the hood hinges two inches out of alignment (preventing them from being able to close again.) Steve's immediate thought was that the hood was destroyed. We weren't worried about the windshield as it was already cracked from Targa Newfoundland and we already had a spare which we'll install prior to Targa New Zealand but we really did not want to replace the hood.

Steve lowered the hood back down and was astonished to see that there was absolutely no damage. It was in perfect condition.

I have been a fan of the Technocraft products for a long time and I mean no disrespect to any of the other vendors on the forum, I just like to give credit where credit is due and their products are very nice.

Anyone suggest carbon fiber clamshell vents ?

Yeah...me too! I pick her up next Tuesday in LA. Then to Monterey Car Week. Then back for more Carbon Fiber work. So you probably won't see her until just before the Rally. Sorry dude.
